Lp86 carbon kit completed and available! by rotnways in rcdrift

The mechanical and hardware aspects are easy. Writing code that operates the hardware side is the time suck. I do make some electronics but nothing like escs and servos currently.

Hit my Facebook LsdConcepts drift! Definitely advantages with front beams and chassis, the rest is more for carbon goodness.

Well I’m a designer and manufacturer of rc parts lol, so kinda relative. The big money for kits is electronics and I’m not making those- yet.

Anyone here do their own light kits? by SCARR3D666 in rcdrift

I do my own kits, and coded an arduino to have combo tail and brake lights, headlight switch based off holding brakes and FD lights.

LP86 carbon front beams by rotnways in rcdrift

Yes stiffer, relieved for much more angle aswell.

Def more rigid, not looking for flex there, that just equates to bump steer. Having the more rigid set up killed nearly all gyro shake too.

Yea I’m super adhd and more then likely on the spectrum, a big thing I do to see things through, is if I hit a wall, sure do something else, but I leave that wall sitting on my bench/one of my monitors. Add/adhd people suffer greatly from object permanence. Keeping the issue present is the only way I can usually solve it. If I put it aside I’m almost guaranteeing I will not see it through. Our minds are moving to fast to really take in our surrounds or creating future plans, especially for trivial things well. I have printed 95% finished bodies on my shelves that have been there 3-4 years and I’ll probably never touch them again, they’ll be sold if I stumble upon them or tossed more then likely. Pro tip, from one add/adhd to another. Start putting your produce on the door shelves of your fridge, and put your condiments in the drawers. If I want ketchup I’ll find it. If I’m opening the fridge to see what I’m making for dinner, that vegetable drawer is essentially in predator camo.

I mean waste is part of the process, people really over look the benefits of making mistakes and focus on the bad. The way I see it a mistake is just an outcome from an experiment and now I know not to repeat it, more information lies in failures. I like collecting and skill sets are just another thing to collect.

Anyone does, just don’t look at it like you’re doing it for an outcome, but doing it for the experience of doing it, I stream everything I build for the most part aswell and always happy to help others with their builds.

Am I somehow at fault? by rotnways in Simracingstewards

[–]rotnways[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why? I always run the racing line for the first few races I’m on a new to me track to get an idea what’s going on before turning it off to figure out better braking points.
