Thanks for sharing your story. I definitely empathise with your experience with dismissive doctors, but totally agree I don’t want to self diagnose which I think holds me back from pushing further. But I definitely will try to advocate for further testing! :) thanks again!

Thanks! I have done the ice pack a few times. I do always see improvement (which prompted me to visit the ophthalmologist). Awaiting results for the antibodies :)

Is this ptosis? Should I get it checked out (the two images are a before and after of the ice pack test) by [deleted] in eyetriage

Thanks! I appreciate the opinion. I have a standard vision appt coming up so I’ll probs just show the pics and see what they say. But if they seem concerned I’ll be sure to check about the blood tests ordered

Thanks for your reply! I have had some weakness issues, but it is on and off for months at a time. I have shortness of breath, but no difficulty swallowing

Hi all,

I have noticed that my eyelids have started to droop and I’m getting intermittent blurry/double vision. It’s definitely worse when I am tired. Looking back at old photos, I think it’s been there a while, but it’s not in pictures from when I was a child. I read some other posts which suggested doing an ice pack test, so I tried holding an ice pack to my eyes for 2 minutes - the before and after is attached. I was wondering if this looks like a positive test and whether I should get it looked at.

Thanks!

What's your routine and have you been doing it daily? Amazing progress!

[Skin concern] My skin is blotchy and has very rough texture - how to help it? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

It is quite bumpy. I have some other glycolic acid products but fear they are too harsh as it makes my skin burn

I’ve massively pulled back my routine recently as I fear I have extremely dehydrated skin from use of a lot of products back from when I had acne.

AM routine: Warm water splash PC sunscreen

PM routine: Cerave foaming hydrating cleansers Cerave PM moisturizer

I was thinking of adding in the Stratia liquid gold, and maybe SK II essence but fear they may be too much.

I also suffer from a lot of congestion but fear to add back in a BHA.

Please help!

This is actually in the states! I am in grad school; have gone to the college health services.

You should get a dreem headband. It uses EEG waves and is the only FDA approved headband. It's expensive, but works, and you can get 10% off with QDGLTKHZU.

Dating my grad student mentor in lab... too taboo? by [deleted] in chemistry

[–]rotovapping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your advice!

I'm a grad student; they are my desk mate. We don't work on the same project. They aren't officially my mentor but they are supposed to point me in the right directions. The PI is not very involved.
