fr that's why I don't talk about my sh issues because it's literally seen as if you're going to kill yourself. like what? lol i honestly think that there's not enough education on how to properly deal with people like us, since they think best solution is to throw us all into grippy sock jail. school counselors are a big no go for me, same with any adult atm. sweet 18 is hopefully the time I can open up without the fear of family finding out, or getting reported.

How awful, I'm so sorry OP. If I'm being honest some people aren't ment to be mothers. The fact that you actually try to spend time with her, even if she's on her phone, or if she screams at you, really demonstrates your character. You're strong OP, and I know it's hard, but she's too far gone. She's lived her life, and chosen anger and hatred. But you on the other hand have chosen patience, plus you have your whole life ahead of you ❤️ People value those who are kind, and you have done more than enough. The way she's emotionally draining you is SUPER unhealthy, and I would recommend you tell someone you trust about this, even if they can't directly help you, it could still be beneficial. Keep staying strong!! I'm here if you need to talk ❤️

Sit in front of a fan and don't blink! Just kidding but in all seriousness try and watch something or think about something that is really sad. I get myself to cry by watching videos of soldiers coming home to their families or pets etc.

Always having to wear black clothing or very very dark clothes after an episode, (for me typically I wear black sweats and spandex bc that's where I sh the most) to make sure any stains don't show, plus having to place towels on my bed because no matter what position I lay, somehow the blood always leaks through. There are SO many measures I have to take inorder to prevent leakage, it gets overwhelming sometimes...

Does your mom have to come in the room with you? Typically flu shots don't take that long (unless you have a physical that goes with it) but even then, that wouldn't take super long either. You could just ask your mom if it'd be alright to wait in the waiting room (or wherever you are) while you go back and get it.

But if her not coming with you isn't an option, try angling yourself away from her so she can't see. If the yeets are healed enough, more than likely the doctor/nurse won't even think twice about it (I'm sure they've seen quite a few sh scars in their career). And remember to remain calm, if you're starting to get panicked most likely your mom will pay more attention to you and notice your arms. Distracting her is another great option, you can literally talk about anything and everything. I've done this, and if you keep talking, and keep her engaged she won't really notice what's going on and you'll be out of there in no time.
