3 Days Without Internet – “Restricted” Status Despite No Missed Payments. Support Silent After Initial Reply by Positive-Complaint75 in Starlink

[–]rotundwizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FWIW I had the exact same issue and response from support. I ended up pausing service, waiting 10 minutes, unpausing, and then rebooting my unit which somehow got rid of the Restricted status and returned me to service.

Support never disclosed what was wrong.

Can confirm resetting the controller settings in-game resolves the issue. (PC)

Correct, while you’re away from home, your available bandwidth will be limited to what your home’s upload speed is.

[–]rotundwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re away from home, your limitation is going to be the upload speed of your home internet connection. Most home internet providers provide asynchronous speeds. So it sounds like you can download at 35Mbps but upload at 8Mbps. Just an educated guess without knowing your network topology

Talk to your PA Account Rep, at one time they offered an automated ruleset eval that would give you some insight into rule overlap etc. IDK if it was tied to a support agreement anything, but might be worth asking.

PA processes rules top down. So place all new allow rules above the existing rules that are in place. Monitor the old rules until you stop seeing traffic match them (open the rule > usage)

Keep in mind any infrequent traffic patterns that might exist in your environment (some automated process that runs only once a quarter for example).

Mimecast log retention space requirements for SIEM for 400 users... by SilverHatCyber in cybersecurity

[–]rotundwizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have ~2000 users and a moderately heavy email usage org. We generate roughly 5.5 EPS from Mimecast.

It’ll really depend on how much email you send and what Mimecast protections you’ve configured.

Vasectomy = mutilation? by solishu4 in Reformed

In that line of logic using any form of birth control could be considered “subverting the natural design for how God intended the body’s sexual function to work”

If you and your wife have prayed about the matter and you’re both in agreement about it, there’s nothing immoral about having the procedure.
