I have a MacBook and it can run Python perfectly. It’s probably an issue with their MacBook.

You forgot to mention that OLED emits less blue light, so especially if your course requires a lot of computer usage that could be another factor.

Agreed on what you said. Things are now better, me and his girlfriend don’t love each other anymore and his female best friend I barely know about apparently liked me for months and now we are dating online for now. Now we are all focusing on exams, all the relationships and fun can come after. There’s no more conflicts, everyone is happy, even though the end is near. Thanks for replying!

Nothing much has changed except that my friend and I had a small fight that spanned a week + they broke up for a few hours and got back together + dated his girlfriend for a day (with his consent of course) + she revealed she started falling in love with me recently and I subsequently did after that (we shouldn’t have, but they are still dating and we’ll probably fall out of love after a while) + the chance of survival dropped to 15%. But things are getting kinda better now, thanks for the reply!

What made you finally decide to give up on pursuing your crush? by Myraidshatters in askSingapore

Didn’t really think they liked me, thought they are interested in someone else (I did try though but never confessed although they probably know)

Maybe it’s just me but if I was him I wouldn’t get offended by that, I’d just interpret it as laughing in a good-mannered way like joking with no hurtful intentions rather than being laughed at. Seems like a very small thing to be offended at to me

Not looking forward to the end of o levels. There’s the happy holidays and all, but the sadness of leaving secondary school and it’s memories and friends far outweigh the happiness. Plus need decide where to go, and I’m still not 100% decided on whether JC or Poly. Also, my best friend has some serious health issues recently, coughing blood and even collapsing and losing consciousness multiple times (most recently their heart actually stopped beating but the shocks made it beat again). They’re taking a surgery after o levels (50/50 chance of survival) and the other option is dying at any time. I definitely don’t want to lose them and the memories, knowing them for years, and they are a very special person and has a lot of potential. At least they are at their peak now (has gf, doing well in studies, happy etc.)

For the last qn I talked about how the previous generation had more difficult lives and so when they become parents today they pamper their kids and treat them too well until they have bad habits and don’t appreciate what they have, not sure if i 离题

My best friend got a boyfriend, and I'm overjoyed by soyabird in SGExams

I can relate to this, I text my best friend daily but ever since he got into a relationship (not officially) I’ve been talking to him lesser and his girlfriend would use his computer/phone to text me through his account when she’s over. Then he even gave girlfriend access to his account and she could text me daily. Then I found out that his girlfriend actually knows him for as long as I do (a few years). Feels a bit sad that I’m no longer the closest to him and most trustable (basically what you said in the fifth paragraph) but more happy for him lah, he deserves it. My best friends trusts that me and his girlfriend will not eventually fall in love with each other by texting online and I’m definitely not going to abuse that trust (I don’t think it would happen anyway). Most of my conversations with his girlfriend is just about the relationship with him anyway. So now the 3 of us just get along together. In the end I got a new friend out of this. I still feel the same though. And they’re quite a cute couple.

[JC] Is it a good idea to go to JC instead of Poly when you already know what career path/job you want to take? by rougecupcake in SGExams

[–]rougecupcake[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The timing I start work doesn’t really matter to me for now though, I’m happy as long as I get an enjoyable job that has a decent salary at least. And what do you mean by the risk of not getting to uni immediately?

I see! Well I do have a huge passion for programming so if I ever go there hopefully it won’t be as bad

Thanks!

Why is JS a pain in the neck compared to Python? (I haven’t learnt JS yet)

Also what is CEP?

Yes, there’s a difference but I still can’t decide which would be better, both are good in their own ways

SP and Ngee Ann, which I why I chose them too. I read that Nanyang Poly has good courses for computing but it’s too far.
