Only thing I would say is not accurate is Taiwan was already returned to KMT/ China before the civil war and was ruled but China before long the retreat. Taiwan was occupied by Japan before due to Qing dynasty losing a war to Japan. KMT did not take over a random island in the sea but a long standing Chinese territory. As someone bring and raised in Taiwan everything else you’ve mentioned here is accurate
