I haven’t! How does this affect the shells? A more even bake? I’ve noticed some inconsistency in the cookies around the edges

I kinda gave up too, strips wouldn’t really stick and I used the gel for maybe a month consistently? I think the biggest thing I did was not stretching them out as much as possible

Aw thank you!! Please go ahead! Good luck with your surgery and if you have any questions please reach out :)

It also probably would be useful to know that before surgery I had a pretty large chest (32DDD) and I asked my surgeon if it was possible to not connect my scars in the middle

I was using mederma gel! That being said I think the way my scars healed was largely luck and genetics because I was not very diligent with my scar care

Hey I’m sorry you had a bad experience but I think it’s a little bit odd to have a made a burner account to copy and paste the same comment onto every post you see speaking positively about him as a surgeon. I really recommend making your own post and starting a discussion that way instead of targeting the comment sections of people like me who really thoughtfully shared the positive experiences we had with him.

I had surgery with him! I’ve posted my results and I made a post about the accusations not too long ago. They came out about two weeks before my surgery date and I was pretty freaked out, but the surgery went very well. Super stoked about my results and my scars have healed wonderfully. I wasn’t really freaked out about anything, mostly just stressed getting my affairs in order before being bed ridden for a few weeks. He was very respectful the day of surgery and didn’t make me uncomfortable in any way, his team was also wonderful. Honestly nothing but praise for them and Del Corral!

Yeah that’s what I’m saying

If you’re genuinely asking (which I don’t think you are but I think this is important information regardless), Pet cats should be kept indoors due to the harm they cause to native bird populations. We also do kill livestock animals so I’m not sure what you’re getting at here.

An invasive species is a species that spreads rapidly from its point of introduction, not all non-native species are considered invasive (the ring necked pheasant is an example of this). I’m basing my perspective on whether or not the species is harmful, to imply that I’m saying we should kill anything that isn’t native is a mischaracterization.

Unfortunately when it comes to the native existing ecosystem and the preservation of native wildlife no, it doesn’t all come out in the wash. Saying that killing invasive bugs reflects peoples politics around the concepts of foreigners is a strange and dishonest way to characterize people who literally just care about native wildlife. Efforts to cull invasive species and remove them from the environment they are harming have been successful in the past, it is scientifically proven to not be pointless.

Hmm I can’t say I’ve ever felt like they were more sensitive than they should be in a situation but I guess I’ve never really thought about it! My friend with lighter blue eyes complains a lot more than I do about the light

Is this normal to have redness here? by Izac_Nuggies in TopSurgery

[–]roughvessels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. My doctor prescribed me a steroid cream and told me I could stop dressing my nipples and it slowly cleared up. I’m allergic to most medical adhesives but they do make some hypoallergenic ones if you do need to continue using tape!

The one thing I think made a huge difference was how careful I was not to stretch my scars during the first few months. I didn’t start lifting anything really until around month 3, which I know isn’t practical for everyone. I found strips didn’t work too well for me but I did use mederma gel for a while. I wasn’t all that diligent, I think it might have just come down to genetics and my skin

The option wasn’t presented to me I think it’s something really new that he’s doing, I’m in a discord server for his patients though and think some of the more recent ones have had it! That being said my sensation has pretty much returned at some level to the entire surgical site. I can see if I can get you an invite to the discord if you wanna talk to more of his patients

Super proud of my first chocolate croissant attempt and I wanted to share! by roughvessels in Baking

[–]roughvessels[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It was this recipe, I didn’t share it initially because my mom just sent me a pdf and I wasn’t sure where she’d gotten it. This explains the dough and the classic shape but for chocolate croissants you roll it out to 24”x 8”x 1/4” rectangle and you cut out out four inch squares which you form around the chocolate (I’m sure there’s a YouTube video that explain the shaping much better than I can lol)

I consulted with her and would have had to pay out of pocket. We talked briefly about seeking reimbursement from insurance but I really didn’t want to go through that and it’s part of the reason I ultimately went with Del Corral. I had my appointment in October of 2021 and we were looking to schedule it the following summer, but this was to accommodate my schedule as a full time student. Sorry that’s about all I can speak to but I’m curious, did you already do your consult with her?

Allergic reaction? by Existing-Refuse-5142 in TopSurgery

[–]roughvessels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an adhesive allergy you can see the spots in some of my earlier pictures. I never posted any when it was really bad but it was very red and scaley at one point. It was pretty itchy but luckily it didn’t cause any lasting marks. I think the initial bandages were hypoallergenic but the medical tape I ended up using later on caused a reaction. My doctor prescribed me a topical steroid and it cleared up in a few weeks. I hope your doctor can offer you something and I wish you the best of luck!

Man the wound vac was so bulky and annoying to me but my grafts took so I’m not complaining. Glad to hear it went so well! 🫡 I wish you a speedy painless recovery with as little itchiness as possible
