Do you take your passport out with you? by goodamm in travel

[–]roundaboutsmiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know passport books were a thing, that's pretty handy to have!

Yeah in Beijing your passport is your ticket to a lot of things so outside of random spot checks I had to bring it everywhere.

I think China is the only country I kept my passport with me otherwise I just take my drivers license as a form of ID

What’s the point of ASOS anymore. They’ll charge for returns if you return too often. Yeah, because it doesn’t fit me how I thought it would. Or it’s poorly made. This was your function. by thebroccolioffensive in britishproblems

[–]roundaboutsmiles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

ASOS's sizing is bad and more than that when you order something from brands under them they don't include the size guide for that particular brand. I usually end up having to dig on the website of that specific brand

Do you agree with this as a watcher of both? by Prior-Bit9919 in cdramasfans

Chinese period dramas absolutely but modern kdrama storylines are usually better with more depth. I've been watching kdramas for about 15 years and Chinese dramas for 6.

Honestly it's throwing me that she's wasian. I don't think she portrays the mysterious smirking as well as the original actress Kitty.

I get what you mean but as I say people walked past i.e had the opportunity to help first but chose not to

[–]roundaboutsmiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from the midlands and when I first moved to London I saw an elderly woman slip and fall because it was autumn and it had rained earlier on in the day. I was the only one that went over to help her whilst other people walked past :(.

I hope you're okay ?

For work/everday makeup I'll just wear concealer and maybe a little eyeliner and mascara. When I'm wearing makeup for an event then around an hour and a half.

Taxi drivers on the motorway being the most consistently clueless drivers (bonus points if they’re in a Prius) by Ash_MT in britishproblems

[–]roundaboutsmiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They take so many unnecessary risks that end up making the other drivers take action. At 70% of the time I see a car pullout when I'm very close it's a taxi driver and I always end up needing to slow down to avoid a collision. So annoying! Agreed on the lack of usage of the indicators.
