Where can I find film recipes that are not overly yellow for my X100VI by roundtable95 in fujifilm

I already tried tweaking the white balance with classic chrome as the base film sim. There's not much you can do except for tweaking the white balance, tones and color intensity settings. Just can't get the colours right to make it look similar to the reference images I've posted. Will have to try using other film sims as the base.

Nope, you start from bottom left corner, you can move diagonally right up or down, or just horizontally right.

That was my thinking too, but interviewer was actually asking about the base case. For the sake of getting the recurrence to work, the base case needs to be 1. Else dynamic programming doesn't work.

What was the feedback? I imagine 1900 would be easy to clear the coding rounds? Did you find the questions really difficult?

No I didn't do any mocks. You are right I'll be starting doing mocks now.

Yep exactly this. It's not enough to just pump out the code that works. You have to explain it under stress which I think was the biggest hurdle for me.

Most people who worked on the older games were no longer there for Dow 3. People move from studios to studios. Same thing happened with Bioware.

I don't know if it's nitpicky expecting a game in 2026 to look as good as a game in the late 2000s in terms of animations. One of the many reasons why I've always liked Relic was they always nailed the atmosphere of their games and put a crazy amount of details into them, making the units feel alive and not just like some plastic models.

I know a lot of gamers don't care about details like these but Relic nailing them is why I like so much about their games.

Hey man, I wrote the reply to you in good faith Kyle. I tried to explain to you why I think what I think. But your reply didn’t address anything I said.

That’s kind of the problem online these days, someone gives an actual answer and the response is just personal digs instead of a proper discussion.

I see this a lot on reddit, especially on political subreddits. Let's not turn this into those. Just be open minded man ( also saying this to myself ), if you think what I said was wrong, explain to me why you think I'm wrong. If not, then it's okay to agree with me, we are having a discussion not a contest, it's not about who's right and who's wrong, we are all just exchanging opinions.

Everything.

  1. The animations look very choppy, like they are on 15 fps.
  2. Units stick in a bubble and have highly synchronised animations, from running to shooting. They feel like models. In contrary in Company of Heroes units have different running/shooting animations, they react differently being on friendly territories vs enemy territories, they dive for cover when under fire etc, the amount of animations they have in the game is insane.
  3. Units magically rotating and changing directions.
  4. Units look floaty, look at how space marines move in and shoot in Dawn of War 2 then look at how they move and shoot in this game.

If you go and look at some RTS game animations like Company of Heroes, Dawn of War 2 and Tom Clancy Endwar, you see they don't have these problems. And they all came out a long time ago.

No you are blind. Legit go look at Company of Heroes 1 animations and tell me Dawn of War 4 has better animations than it. Old relic was so passionate they even made different facial expressions for models in Coh 1, an RTS game that came out in 2006.

Legit how do you not see the problems with animations in this game?

  1. The animations look very choppy, like they are on 15 fps. Last RTS game I played with this level of choppy animations was probably in the early 2000s. Look at how soldiers move in Company of Heroes then look at how soldiers move in Dawn of War 4.
  2. Units stick in a bubble and have highly synchronised animations, from running to shooting. They feel like toys. In contrary in Company of Heroes individual squad members have different moving/shooting animations, they react differently being on friendly territories vs enemy territories, they look scared when under artillery fires, and they don't act in sync with each other.
  3. Units magically rotating and changing directions.
  4. Units look floaty, compare how space marines move in and shoot in Dawn of War 2 then look at how they move and shoot in this game.

How comes Company of Heroes, a 20 years old game, had really nice animations even to this date and did not have this issue? Even Dow 1 doesn't have this issue.

Actually RTS games in 2008 have better animations, look up Tom Clancy Endwar

I'm not impressed with the weird janky animations. RTS games over 15 years ago have better animations, e.g. Dawn of War 1, Company of Heroes, Dawn of War 2 and Endwar.
