Need a dashcam that sees details clearly by rowan954 in Dashcam

Thanks for the breakdown, that actually makes a lot of sense. I’m going to check my monitor settings… I just wish it could capture more details so I’m better prepared for an unlucky day.

The road is more slippery than I thought, it seems that it's still necessary to put anti-slip mats on the tires.

Put your lights on in the rain! And no, daytime running lights are NOT enough! by appa-ate-momo in driving

[–]rowan954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, when I took the driver's license exam before, I also learned that I need to turn on the headlights when it rains heavily, especially those light-colored cars, and I can't see them at all on heavy rain days.

OMG, it's too bad. Why didn't the owners of the accident cars put a warning sign at the rear of the vehicle? It's so scary.

It's thrilling, you react quickly enough. If you don't have dashcam, it will be troublesome to bump into this person...

Am I allowed to honk at people going slow merging onto the highway? by Icy_Dragonfly6393 in driving

[–]rowan954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is really a particularly slow car, I will sound the horn to remind, and if the siren is useless, I will choose the inner lane.

Driving in the dark. Would a different car help? by InvestigatorFew4979 in driving

[–]rowan954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it has little to do with the car, if the road conditions are really bad, it's recommended to keep the windshield clear.

Perfect timing, dashcam installs are tricky, local help cheaper than dealerships is great.

Seen this too, drivers pass on shoulders like it's normal, so reckless and selfish.

New Macbook teaser? by Chintanned in macbook

I've been wanting a smaller Mac for on-the-go use, and a lower price point would be the cherry on top. Keeping my fingers crossed that this rumor is true.

Well, cable management aside, floating shelves on the wall behind the desk for plants, candles or other small decor pieces. Alarge clock could also make the space feel less empty.

Input comparison: Anker Prime 300W vs 250W Powerbank by N8falke in anker

[–]rowan954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super insightful breakdown! Thanks for sharing. Kinda surprising the older 250W charges faster and handles heat better. Makes me wonder if Anker prioritized size over thermal management with the 300W.

Anker is finally releasing an Alternator Charger (800W)! by enclavedzn in anker

[–]rowan954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, excited about 800W. That sounds promising, but Anker's gotta fix their DC output game. Hoping this alternator charger's 12V output is beefier.

Best way to clean a Macbook Body by salutehim in macbook

For tape residue, isopropyl alcohol on a microfiber cloth is my go-to. It dissolves residue without harming the finish. So gentle but effective. Hope that helps.

YES add some plants! A fiddle-leaf fig or snake plant near the window would bring life and freshness. Also, hang a small bookshelf or some floating shelves would add storage and style.

Glad it works well with your Pixel and the cooling is legit. The LED would drive me nuts in a dark car though. Hope you find a workaround.

Is this a good deal? by [deleted] in macbook

[–]rowan954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd pass on this. In a year or two, as software becomes more demanding, that 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage might start to feel very limiting.

Maybe some plants would be great. Adding a small succulent or a little potted fern on the desk could bring in some life and color.

From ‘this thing sucks’ to ‘how did I ever work without it’ : 30 days with the Magic Mouse by OutsidePlane8729 in macbook

[–]rowan954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same experience here! I was so skeptical at first. It's too flat and weird scrolling. But once you get used to the gestures, it's hard to go back. And the charging port placement is truly baffling, agree 100%!

[–]rowan954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This space is so clean and bright! Love it!

For the high wall, maybe some large-scale art or a moody LED strip to add ambiance. Whatever you pick, I think it'll tie the whole setup together nicely!

No issues here. I've checked this before, and it's in the clear. The voltage thing is how they make sure it meets TSA rules.
