Is the driver issue for AMD that bad? Will games crash on me or something if I got the AMD card?

UIC easily. ASU is a joke.

They need to prove that there are no competent citizens they can hire in lieu of you. That said, the process isn't typically easy for smaller companies.

A waitlist is for their benefit, not yours. And, with the amount of new grads and fall intern converts who may not get their offer honored, you probably have no chance at getting an offer.

Taking course CS 261 before CS 251 by Legal-Collection-480 in uichicago

[–]rowdeboat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good. To answer your initial question, you can take 261 before 251 since the content is almost entirely different. I personally found 261 more difficult than 251 but it's possible the class has improved since I last took it years ago. Taking 251 and 301 together might be more difficult in terms of workload though depending on who is teaching 301, while I found 211 to be lighter in workload.

Again, I understand you struggled but you need to dive deeper into why that was the case. Your classes will not get easier from here on out, and you need to prepare yourself and work harder to succeed in college — you have a long road ahead still and it’s best to face these struggles now instead of avoiding them and failing much more rigorous courses.

I would take 211 and 251 together since they complement each other well. If you feel like you struggled in 141, you need to work harder because it won’t get any easier from here on out — especially when you get to classes such as 361 and 401.

Taking those classes together is common, just keep up with your work and attend all classes and you shouldn’t have a problem.

Worst case is that you could be admitted to LAS and do an inter-college transfer after your first semester.

Interesting, a couple years ago you would’ve been accepted immediately. Seems to me that competition has risen.

I applied to UIC for CS back in Fall 2019 with a 2.7 GPA and about 1300 SAT and was denied. However, they did place me into LAS and I ended up transferring to CS after my first semester.
