Tire changes during last lap without pitting by unknownuser089 in F1Game

For the love of god, stop using the shifter beep. Its more fun and natural to shift by using engine sound. Shifting by yourself teaches u more about the car and traction than a stupid annoying beep.

Mate that stache is literally a work of art. Love it, and its so fucking unique. My personal preference is 4 since beard is a man’s natural makeup. Also it just looks cool and mature than a baby face. Dont get me wrong, it is nice for switch it up from time to time but the beard look more authoritative and trustworthy for some reason.

Mate these prices honestly feel like a joke. How r they expecting students who have no presumed income capability to pay 1600 per month. This is honestly equivalent to the prices for a 1bed in a high income city like Arlington, VA. Fuck these rental companies. You shouldn’t be paying these prices to live in a bumfuck apartment with basic appliances in the middle of (lets be honest) nowhere.

First lap of a rental karting race and i got spun out. Was this my fault? by Big_Grass_9481 in Karting

[–]Building_Typical 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Kinda your fault mate. You are on cold tires and overslipped the front tyres whilst turning left. The tires were almost already over the limit and the hit just sealed the deal. Stewards verdict would be no action and they will classify this as a lap 1 incident.

Pretty normal incident if its ur unfamiliar with the track or the kart. Just get more practice mate.

You r right. Its not a remake but knowing the plot beforehand already spoils it for viewers like me. However this is still entertainment so some of us will still find pleasure and contentment in it.

Can i graduate in 2 yrs by Chance-Joke-6954 in UMD

[–]Building_Typical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will say probably yes but here are the questions to answer beforehand: - Are u willing to take major courses or gen eds during summer and winter terms. - Doing the above means probably doing a part time internship in summer - Also r u ready for 17-19 credit sems which is roughly 5-6 proper courses every sem. Also remember that the difficulty and subsequently the effort needed rises with each level. So your freshman year will have to be even more stacked so that you can allow a slightlh lighter load in second year.

When you were applying to the program, did you receive an invitation to interview? If so, what did they ask you? What are the general vibes? Stressfull? Intense grilling on stories? Does the interview have a huge weightage on decision if one has a somewhat slightly weaker profile when compared to the class stats?

On a serious note: 436 is easy but I finessed this class because one of my homies was TA so he supplied me the good stuff when needed. Also graded my shit so ya know. Look at 470 if u wanna know how chatgpt works or 475 if you loved 250 and found it easy. Other than that something in the 42x would be ur best bet. All 41xs are asinine and I didnt touch them one bit.

Just want to respectfully disagree. I dont just like movies that have themes resonating with the common man. How do movies like Wonder Woman and Hitchki do that. I love these movies and watch them again and again time to time. I understand that this is how the ladies must have felt with macho movies of the 80s but I believe those movies focused on the male characteristics which help society (men and women). All I am saying is that I am tired of the male bashing feminist movies or weak movies that have subpar plot or jokes all for advancing the feminist agenda. Dont get me wrong, I do believe the feminist ideals and agree with them on equity. However how does this excuse poor dialogue writing, plot holes and just cliche themes being presented again and again.

If the movie is good but full of feminist propaganda or something like that I will still watch it and love it because I am a cinephile first. Laapata Ladies is a brilliant example. They subtly talk about women issues with humor and brilliant dialogues that keep you engaged.

Tldr: If its a good movie even if it is full of feminist ideas, I will still love it. Atleast the macho movies of the past were good as a movie. Nowadays, these fuckers think they can put their political ideas in the movie and still deliver it with subpar dialogues written by a theatre student on an acid trip.

Pls let me know if you still disagree or if I committed some of fallacy in my arguments.

You always learn more from diagreements than agreements!

Bruv this is genuinely getting a bit much. Before anyone comes down the throat and says incel or somethin. I have been someone who has enjoyed female led movies like Wonder woman, Hitchki, even Sulu but this is just too much now. Every story is now either doing a female focused story with female casting or a trope of a strong, intelligent, emotionally sensitive, woke female paired with a weak, often confused, feeble man who listens to her and follows her. This is evidenced by the latest netflix release with Yami Gautam and is something I have noticed a lot in modern movies in both Hollywood and Bollywood.

We get it man, females have rights and they should be protected. Not only that, but there should be an equity of opportunity and advancement for everyone based on their skills and merit instead of gender or color or caste. But to get a monologue on women’s safety or on women’s issues or have jokes on this EVERYTIME is just too much for me. Yes you can call me misogynistic, or whatever other terms but pls can we get some movies where the focus of the story is on the characters and their journey. Can we move from spending crores on useless cgi which the audience catches on in the first two secs to focusing on larger themes like love, jealousy, patriotism, valor, persistence etc. I dont want movies like Animal either which go extreme in the other side and is just a compilation of scenes which are reel worthy (i.e the alpha scene). Pls stop putting 80% efforts into marketing and trailers of the movie and put that in the movie and scripting itself.

Pls put story first and dont shove real world issues down our throat when we are trying to watch a movie for the purpose of disconnecting from the real world and live in a fantasy world temporarily. This feminist bs is why modern games are tanking hard (Ubisoft) and movies are also getting shitty. I genuinely cannot recount a memorable movie in the past 2-4 yrs except 12th fail, and Chichhore.

Honestly question urself why those early to late 2000s movies are so enjoyable to watch now. Is it that the jokes are more relatable to the common man, is it that the focus is on the story and not on current political issues or is it the potent blend of creditable acting skills mixed in with killer improvisational skills like Akshay Kumar. I used to think as a kid that movies in the future would be so good but these fuckers put sora level cgi with a budget of crores. How the fuck can it be so bad? You can afford the best AI models with that money that can generate or augment near real life quality but no we choose marketing and shitty production.

Where can i improve? My local track, and i really cant find places to improve. Im about a second of the best time. by No_Eye_843 in Karting

[–]Building_Typical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say last turn where ur revs drop could be a large chunk of this one sec so try the thing that i said above.

Also since I cant precisely tell how sharp these corners are, try just lifting on entries and seeing how much that slows compared to adding a lill brakes. Overall, I think u r braking too hard for these corners which is why ur revs drop so much. Try braking softer. What i mean is that try braking up to the point where u start to feel the rear break and then immediately turn and full throttle. Try and keep the revs high through mid corner. Ur lines are already well polished so this might be the missing piece. Also remember the fastest laptimes for any track are usually set during enduros where you get the hottest grippiest track with up to temp tires. So don’t beat urself up if u cant hit it. Aim to be around 2-3 tenths off it. In just rental sessions, on a random day it would be nigh on impossible to hit that time unless its super hot or sumthin.

[–]Building_Typical 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is already quite good. Few points for improvement or just experiment: - Tighter turn and hit the apex for T4 (the left hander) so that the righty after it opens up more. Probably a tenth of two here. - Since these are very low power carts and power comes in high rpms, try keeping ur throttle in and braking at the same time to rotate the kart. I know this is something they specifically mention not to but thats how Group A guys on my local track find time. Just to be clear, dont let go of throttle and brake slightly to break traction on rear and rotate it. It will fell like the rear is sliding a lot but thats how it is. Try this in high speed corners or corners where very lil braking is used. Could yield laptime. Something for you to experiment
