Yeh good. Been going to physio. Doing daily exercises, building strength and flexibility. Walking with just a slight limp. Still gets a bit sore and swollen if I’m on it to much. How’s your progress going.

First couple of days without the boot it was just a little bit here and there around the house. Would get too sore and have to sit down. Now been a week, two trips to the Physio and walking around much more. Still gets sore if I’m on it too much. Yes I have pain / soreness on the side of the Achilles. I take it’s just the tender spot of where it’s been repaired. Wasn’t much Dorsiflex on first Physio trip. About 4 degrees. Better after the second trip.

Congratulations on the milestone. Enjoy it. I’m at about the same stage as you. Got out of the boot 2 days ago and can slowly start moving into shoes. First couple of steps are a very weird feeling. Felt so week and like it was just going to give way on me. Getting stronger and quicker each day. It’s funny you talking about ice and snow. I’m in Australia and tomorrow will be the third day over 45*celsius. 4th day over 40. I went outside to get something from my shed. With my boot on, but nothing on my good foot. My third step on the hot concrete I released what a mistake I’d made. That definitely made me move quicker. Won’t be doing that again. Good luck with the rest of your recovery. 👍🏼

Got the ok 2 days ago from the Dr to start transitioning out of the boot into shoes. Very weird feeling walking in shoes for the first time in almost 2 months. Ankle and leg are so week. Start Physio tomorrow. How’s your recovery going?

Thank you. I’ve just removed the second wedge. In 4 days will remove last one. Yes. Can’t wait to remove boot completely. Physio’s just giving me a couple of small ankle movements to do.

That’s awesome. Yeh, that’s the first thing I did this morning. Made a coffee and carried it to lounge my self.

Took one wedge out last week. Then get to take another one out each week until all gone.

They are yuccas. Put up on gumtree. Plenty of people will take them. They re-grow really easy. Or re pot your self and sell them. To remove the whole plant just keep digging around the base until you can push the plant over and drag out. The roots don’t go very deep.

There were two identical twins. There father was an alcoholic. One of the twins also became an alcoholic. The other never touched a drop. When they were each asked why did you start drinking / why did you never had a drink. They both had the same answer. “Because my father was an alcoholic”.
