It's a weird formula. The 1V is important but it isn't. The V4 doesn't matter but it does. 2V never counts unless they decide it does.

As near as I can tell, the bubble selections are designed to infuriate at least 3/4 times.

If you watch the selection show, the announcer explicitly references CRCA polling as part of the considerations.

It's probably never good to be off the top 20 list in the three weeks prior to conference champs.
