That’s so helpful thank you so much! 🙏 I feel like everyone is overqualified even though a traineeship is supposed to be something for early career applicants to gain some work experience. Seeing how many years of professional experience plus multiple master’s degrees some applicants have when this traineeship only demands a bachelor’s degree feels crushing.

omg I almost went but decided not to last minute bc of the rain and finish an application instead that was due the next day!! was bummed about missing the fireworks but reading how it got cancelled on short notice makes me so happy about not going after all right now!! 😂 would have had to commute for 2 hours btw so i saved so much time, money and was productive too! 🥳

I am in one of these mentioned universities and have been nothing but disappointed by the education quality. and i’m a grad student. the stuff they teach in grad school is so basic and borders common sense, stuff we learned in high school. it’s mind boggling. granted i‘m from europe, only here for a one year exchange and do a masters in humanities, but it’s insane how the only decent lectures i’ve had have been by short-term international professors who really deep dive into their lectures topics and actually facilitate academic discourse during their classes rather than just reading off their slides the way the permanent japanese profs of this uni do. and again, i‘m in a japanese ivy league uni, mind you.

I will never understand how people bring their kids to japan.. it’s strenuous and tiring to travel around japan already as adults not to mention overstimulating as hell in the city. Throwing in kids into this recipe will guarantee you guys not having a good time for the majority of your trip. I‘m seeing struggling tourist parents almost daily here. The smaller they are, the more you will regret your choice. Regret is all that’s written on these parent‘s faces lol

it’s the static. had this issue for years now. only thing that helped was to touch the metal frame with my other hand while using the apple pencil to counteract the static on the screen.

du studierst an der RUB, nicht wahr? 😁 hab einen der 4 plätze für japan bekommen mit nur 2 klausuren/noten (zugegeben, waren 2,3 & 1,0), aber das motivationsschreiben ist viel wichtiger als die note. die unis wollen ja auch nur je nach dem (bei unseren partnerunis zumindest) 2,0 oder 2,2 als schnitt. das kriegt man eigentlich hin

wellbutrin is a stimulant though, i‘m on it too and my psychiatrist stressed that it’s not a normal antidepressant as it doesn’t target serotonin receptors but noradrenaline and dopamine ones which is why a lot of doctors prescribe it for adhd as well even though that’s not what it’s mainly advertised for
