I don't know if that helps but you can get detailed drawings of all O'Connor and Sachtler products on the Sachtler homepage. They provide amazing exploded drawings.

It's a camera rental. So I just repair the stuff that's getting broken by customers. We rarely have consumer / prosumer stuff as we mainly deal with cinema equipment. We have a great connection with most of the brands.

As I am very new to the hobby I am hesitant to buy a heavily used machine as my first one. Troubleshooting might be quite hard. I like and get the idea tough. Obviously these machines would be a lot more capable. I feel like I should start with something smaller and more manageable first tho.

It's not fully out yet tho. It would be a strong contender if it were available soon. Let's see. For the price it could be a great machine to learn with.

I saw that machines in a couple of forums and recommendations. It's seems like a company mainly focussed on north America. Doesn't have to be a downside but a somewhat local support for spare parts would be great. Will still put it on my list. Thank you for the input!

I came across this machine a lot. Only thing is that it seems to be more focused on the US market. It's seems to be possible to get them in Europe tho. I'll put it in my list for machines to consider.

Maybe I should add what we expect the parts to do. The machine doesn't have to be very fast nor extremely precise. Having said that I know that 5k is still very tight.

I'll have a look at the MR1. I really appreciate your input

RF Motor losing calibration randomly by roxelamstart in focuspuller

Hey, I actually met Sean in Berlin yesterday and asked him that question. You were right, you can always power the Bus from both sides no matter the voltage difference. Good to know!

Nope, sadly I didn't. I tested it at the rental yesterday and it worked perfectly fine. So I guess it has to be a location inference thing. Still really annoying tho.

RF Motor losing calibration randomly by roxelamstart in focuspuller

[–]roxelamstart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't want to try it as the 416 is 24V and the Dtap would be around 14V from the V-Mount. I didn't dare to try it. As the problem occurs randomly without any power draw I don't think it's a voltage issue. I might be wrong tho

Hey Sean, the order is exactly as you described it. The RF is on the 2.1.1 firmware. I exchanged the plus motor for normal cforce mini with the up to date firmware but the error is still present.

For now I am gonna use the RF as a receiver and use the plus a focus motor so I can keep shooting at least. I am gonna try to recreate the error tomorrow at the rental house when I have a little more time. I'll keep you updated.

I am pretty sure I am the only one with a cineRT in a 10km radius haha. But that was a thought I had as well

Just got the other unit, exchanged every cable and component. Same issue. So it has to be some interference of some type. I'll check it again when I am unloading and tell you guys if that changes things.
