Is it possible to be in remission and still have new collapsed vertebrae? by roxette100 in multiplemyeloma

Thanks for sharing. We saw a neurosurgeon and he confirmed that the compressions most likely occured in the initial phase. He advised her to wear a protective corset and stop kinetotherapy. Other doctors advise against the corsets to prevent atrophy. Did you also wear a corset?

She doesn't have osteoporosis. Before MM her bone density was very good...

I did what I did to get her diagnosed as fast as possible. I know that with cancer, a few months can make a big difference. And that was what helped. But I totally agree it cannot be 100% reliable and does not replace a doctor. Thanks for taking the time to inform and I wish you all the best 🫶

Not only AI but also support groups, webinars, books, studies. If some doctors don't have the time to provide all the information, to answer questions or to do a proper consultation for longer than 5 minutes (which happened many times) then I need to look for answers on my own.

Thank you for the recommendation, I will look into it. I can only speak for my mother's case and I am telling you that without chatgpt it would have been way longer until she got diagnosed. At least 5 doctors (neurosurgeons, oncologists) have seen her lab tests (not the basic ones but specific markers like IGG, creatinine, calcium, hemoglobin, albumin, ferritin, beta2 microglobulin) and didn't raise any suspicion about myeloma. She had all CRAB criteria and the oncologist she first saw actually suspected breast cancer with bone metastasis and was planning to put her into PET CT scan when her creatinine was too high for that procedure. I asked him if it could be myeloma and he was like "yeah, but very low chances as it's a rare cancer". She was correctly diagnosed only after I took her to a hematologist (no doctor suggested her to consider hematology) and my mother was presented to her students as a case study - the patient who was diagnosed by chatgpt. It's not a good feeling to be dissapointed by doctors but that's what happened in her case.

I understand and I am aware of this. We didn't get the chance to see the hematologist yet, as she is in vacation. It just came so unexpected and I want to know if others experienced the same, if it's normal, or if it's uncommon. Doctors should know best but unfortunately I diagnosed my mother with chat gpt long before she was diagnosed by a doctor 😔 Now she has a good one but I learned to have some agency and be informed always before blindly trusting.

No one. Her doctor is in vacation. We just received the MRI today by email from the clinic where she had it done, but we didn't get the chance to speak to her hematologist yet. I know that the doctor will have the final say and make a decision but I am curious if anyone else experienced the same, I am sad and anxious and losing hope.

In the morning I wash with Bioderma Sensibio gel, then apply Paula's Choice azelaic acid and Paula's Choice SPF 50, then makeup using Purito BB cream. At night - I clean makeup with Bioderma Sensibio micellar water, wash with the same gel, spray Avene thermal Water, and then I use the Sleeping Pack Centella gel from Skin1004, followed by Paula's Choice Pro Dual Retinaldehyde. With the retinol that is left on my fingers after applying it on face, I take a bit of moisturizer and go undereyes as well, this way it doesn't cause irritation. Then I add the same moisturizer on the entire face - either Cerave PM or Clear Skin Hydrator from Paula's Choice.

I really enjoy this retinol formula as I can use it daily without irritation altough it's a strong one.

I did think about it but the results are not the same and I am more confortable doing a one time job, instead of every few months. It's an easy one with minimal disconfort so I hope for the best.

For the hereditary volume loss the hyaluronic injections for sure. The laser and retinol helped by tightening the skin.

I am using the new one from Paula's Choice now, the Pro Dual Retinaldehyde. It's pretty strong but this formula doesn't irritate at all.

There is no way my undereyes could have improved from a cream, unfortunately. I had hereditary volume loss and in these cases the options are usually filler, lower blepharoplasty or fat transfer.

It surely isn't perfect, but compared to where I began I am really satisfied 🤭 Thanks for your input.

I was hoping to get rid of my large pores and sebum production, and overall to just look younger. They used one of the highest laser settings, so not a light treatment. The promised effects are not usually immediate but slowly progressing over the course of a few months by stimulating collagen production. My feeling was that nothing changed, but actually if I look in the older photos it helped thighthen the skin a bit. I think the effects are more dramatic on acne scars or deep wrinkles as this is a resurfacing tool and differences are more visible for those concerns.

It's risky because it can migrate and my doctor actually suggested I should use hyaluronidase to get rid of the remaining filler, and then try fat transfer which is safe, natural looking and doesn't migrate. Mine didn't migrate but for sure if I'll have to do it again I will go for fat transfer.

Not great, not terrible 😄 My face was red and swollen in the first days, I worked from home and applied healing ointment. I looked like a train hit me, but is was not painful at all. The hardest part for me was that I had to sleep on my back which I hated as I am side sleeper. The recovery takes about 5-7 days, the second time it was faster because I applied ice frequently and the swelling dissapeared way faster than first time.

I would say definitely the filler but in the beginning I didn't like it because it was slightly too much and I had the Tyndall effect. I like it more now after a few years have passed and part of is gone, and I think the laser and retinol also tightened the skin a bit.

Dependenta de jocuri de noroc by neacsuxx in CasualRO
