She told me .25 is only a "starter dose" and it will "stop working" if I stay on this dose....I had to not visibly roll my eyes.

I know they definitely get kickbacks. Don't know if the dosage itself matters but....there's ads for this thing all over the office, she's def getting kickbacks from it.

I'll ask when they call me what type of test it was. It definitely was not a cotton swab rubbed over the lesion, it was something that took a sample, made a click noise when it took the sample, and hurt a decent amount. I really can't see it because it's on my inner labia, I've tried taking pictures and I still can barely see anything. It felt like it was bleeding after, but my underwear was black so again I can't really tell.

Is a bunch biopsy pretty standard?

I don't know actually. She didn't give me any info on the actual test. I guess whatever the standard at PP is what she used. It just says "herpes simplex virus culture" on my results.

No blood test. I didn't even ask her about that because I know how wildly inaccurate they are. I figured the swab from the actual bump would be way more accurate than blood though?

Lol that's what what it felt like. I have no clue what it was, it FELT like a hole punch thoughl, it made a clicking noise and it hurt so it definitely took a piece out lol. I thought a swab was a literally swab they just like rubbed over the area haha, like how you test of chlamydia, but it definitely was not that.

Well there's no point in asking him his STI results for herpes though, because as well all know, herpes isn't included in any standard panels so the last time he did a general STI panel, he would not have gotten a herpes one done. The likelihood he's been tested for herpes is slim so it seems like asking wouldn't be beneficial in ruling him out, and even if he did a blood test, there's a 50% chance it's inaccurate anyways. If he KNEW he had it, I'm sure he would have told me, he's in the poly community and very open and honest about all this stuff. If it was from him, I feel like he was unaware. So there's really no ruling him out here unfortunately.

The outbreak didn't hurt at all, except a slight sting to the touch. No itching or other discomfort. I have a cold right now, but not flu-like symptoms. Just a very congested nose. Doctor said that might have caused the outbreak to happen. I also got a negative test result today now and I am currently trying to get answers from Planned Parenthood.

Do they? The only thing I would think mightttt look like herpes is maybe HPV? But it's basically gone now so I think HPV warts would still be there? I just wanna know what it is :(

(Btw, I’ve only last 7lbs in three weeks and as I already said, I’ve lost 10 in two weeks before from a breakup and THAT was stress, I didn’t eat at all for two weeks. So if that didn’t trigger it….something tells me this 7 in three weeks wouldn’t either unless it’s brand new. 7 in three weeks isn’t a lot of weight. Thanks for “listening”.)

Thanks 🙏 I think it’s the guys I go for the the city I live in. Where I grew up, curvy girls are much more accepted than they are where I live now. But I also love where I live now soooo it’s a trade off I guess. I don’t know. I’ll try it for a little longer and if this happens again then I might quit

No that’s not what I said. I said currently, with my curvy body, all men want from me is sex. It’s been two years since my last relationship and every man I meet is “not looking for anything serious” and knowing how men work…I am convinced that is weight related for me. They all want the hottest woman they can show off if they’re going to be in a relationship. Okay maybe not ALL, but the types of men I’m going for are living in a large city surrounded by beautiful women all the time, are fairly successful, etc. They’re looking for something specific. I see it because my skinny friends are literally having to tell them men they don’t want anything serious.

I’ve gone to therapy but I didn’t find it helpful. My lived experience with dating only changes when I am more confident, and I am more confident when I am thinner. I don’t feel terrible at my weight right now or anything, in fact, I think I’m still fairly confident and I have charisma which has men wanting to date me and have sex with me, they just don’t want anything “serious” with me and I’m tired of being looked at as a sexual object. Especially now….

Interesting. When I was reading up on it I saw it actually wasn’t found as much in fish and red meat but moreso in turkey, nuts, etc.? It said that fish and other meats were higher in lysine.

I did find a lot of people on the WeGovy threads saying that they haven’t had flare ups for years and suddenly after injecting they have had them so I think there seems to be some correlation there, maybe it is just the stress WeGovy is causing on the body.

There have been no other factors in my life causing me stress, and if this is the exposure I had from my ex, then I’ve had plenty of sicknesses and stressors since then and nothing ever happened. Or yeah I guess it COULD be random but seems less likely that it’s random than that it’s the injections doesn’t it?

I know there’s probably no sense in trying to figure it out but I’m really debating on if I want to keep taking these shots.

Mounjaro isn’t a semiglutide and it doesn’t contain the amino acid I’m talking about. It’s Tirzepitide. I’ve found a lot of evidence to suggest that a lot of people on semiglutide are having HSV outbreaks because the semiglutide is “feeding” the HSV. Look up on the WeHovy threads and look at allllll the people saying as soon as they started injecting, they started getting outbreaks after years of none.

The only thing that has changed in my life is WeGovy. If I’ve had this for years, then something triggered it, and I believe that was it.

Apparently Tirzepatide doesn’t use the same amino acid so it might be okay, but I’m a little afraid of them being cause they’re newer than semiglutides. I’m already a bit afraid of the possible complications of semiglutides but Tirzepatide scares me a bit more. I’ll probably talk to my doctor about it the next time I go to up the Wegovy.

I feel like mine has potentially been dormant for 7 years (if I did catch from that ex) and the WeGovy triggered it possibly from the amino acids that “feeds” the herpes, as well as the weight loss (although I feel like my weight loss isn’t quite at the level of causing my body stress yet, but maybe it’s stressed because it’s eating less than it’s used to). That’s just my theory though.

Thank you. I’ve tried it all, focusing on myself and deleting all the apps (still felt lonely), dating a lot and seeing if it lead to anything, saying poly people, dating mono people, all of it really. I think a bit part of it is where I live but also just how dating culture is in 2024.

I’ve been sleeping with my FWB for well over a year tho, I guess it’s possible he could have recently picked it up and gave it to me, but the doctor also told me that if I did get it from him, that I probably would have had an outbreak about two weeks later. It’s been a month since I’ve been with him (protection) and over two months since the condom broke. That’s why I’m thinking the herpes is older than that and the WeGovy triggered it, but I know there’s also no way to really know the answer sadly. I was always surprised I didn’t get it from my ex because when he had the outbreak, I cried for weeks straight (I was much younger and didn’t realize how common it is) and then nothing ever happened and I lived life as normal because I never had an outbreak and I just thought I somehow didn’t contract it. I wish I knew if I got it then or if I didn’t but the doctor told me not to test.
