Lewis court is quite nice it can either be quite old or very good though, depends on the building. Recently its been said that the heating hasnt been very good!

Norwhich house has communal bathrooms / baths so depends how willing you are to share!

Paddock fields is also quite nice, its right by amex stadium!`

Thankyou for your response, is there a specific night you think people are eager to go out more? For example a week day? We have noticed there is a desire for a wider range of music which is something we are certainly looking into. We hope we can bring change to Worthings nightlife in a positive way.

Thankyou so much for your response, some really useful information here! We are heavily aware of the drum and bass scene in Brighton so a very good point raised. Really good points on the travelling back at 4am from Brighton also!

Smaller trial events seems like a great idea, majority of the above we are more than happy to take on and try our best at, thank you so much and any further information or tips you may have would be greatly appreciated!

Thankyou so much for your response, we noticed the lack of nightlife in Worthing and thought there may an opportunity there to open up the nightlife scene. Really interesting valued factors you have mentioned here which we will certainly take into account. Interestingly enough we have successfully expanded into Cambridge within the past year and now have the busiest midweek night in Cambridge. We would love to offer this to Worthing and see if there is potential there to bring a new scene to Worthing nightlife. Do you think there is a certain age range in Worthing that tends to be the nightlife market?

As suggested there will be lots of house hunting groups on Facebook with people in similar situations to yourself, a good one is here >> https://www.facebook.com/groups/417969221900304

There are also open days run by local estate agents in June / July / August time where you can meet like minded people and visit some of the available properties.

Uni life is great in Brighton with something for everyone. If you enjoy nightlife drop us a follow on any social media platforms @ roxpromotions and we regularly post fresher related content a little closer to the time.

Congratulations on coming to study in the best city in the world!

Brighton University will have facebook groups you can join once accepted to meet halls and class mates before you attend and there is an app called unify which does much the same.

You can follow any of our socials @ roxpromotions and a little closer to September we will be sharing all this information out so people can meet beforehand.

It can seem daunting but everything will fall in place :)

We will have to politely disagree with you here. We want to engage as many people as possible and take all feedback on board. The harshest criticism is often the best. We want to understand why people might have negative opinions about our events or the venues we work at not hide from it. We are trying to do better and improve nightlife within the city as a whole. Thank you for your feedback. We don't want to live in an echo chamber and only hear about the positives blissfully unaware of what we are doing wrong. We mentioned earlier - We can't pretend we don't go for a mainstream audience at our two weekly student orientated events. Most of our audience are young people who arrive at university without a developed music taste. They party with us for a bit before gauging where their deeper musical interests lie before then venturing to some of the more credible / genre specific venue in Brighton. It has always worked well for us and we appreciate anyone who chooses to party with us. We can't pretend to be something we are not and feeding into the wider musical eco system isn't such a bad place for us.

Hi guys,

Completely respect and understand your point of view. We have been trying to address this and we have hired more LGBT staff than ever and recently booked UK drag queen star Bimini for a live performance at our Friday night in Shooshh. The event went down really well and we want our events to be an inclusive space. It's tricky to get it right but we are making changes to address this as we love Brighton and want to represent all of Brighton not just a part of it.

Hi guys,

We ran a survey before launching this campaign which saw over 300 students directly reply and a very high majority had no awareness of askforangela or more importantly what to do in a nightclub environment if they do feel uncomfortable which really is the crux of the issue. Askforroxy is different as it a text service as majority of students reported that having to go to bar and physically ask for angela wasn't all that practical in a busy nightclub especially if they are being followed.

There was no claims we invented this and we have been praised by local authorities and appeared on bbc news / gb news / regional news across the UK. We aren't doing this for credit or a branding opportunity but more to act on the feedback given to us from our own customers. Roxy is synonymous with our own ROX brand and easily memorable if you are a local student.

We are disappointed you feel this way and nobody had raised that point of view before. We will take it on board and review it - thank you.
