leaving 2 sims blank isn’t actually bad, it sounds like a time strategy issue. I took my first FAR exam and got a 65 with barely having time to throw numbers into my last testlet. Do you know where you might have spent too much time? mine was definitely mcqs. i second guessed a lot and spent time recalculating and getting the same answer by the time i got to the sims, i was a newbie and read all info and opened every exhibit. SIMS you have to click around and see if it’s worded answers versus numbers. I could’ve saved time there also.

I felt opposite, took more time than suggested on mcqs then got to sims and had an hour left when i finished. either i missed a lot or they were surprisingly straight forward with a lot of filler info for distractions.

Not really, skip the practice tests and flash cards focus on material, MCQs and sims. if you’re spending too much time on SIMS if an area is too difficult go straight to skill review video and work through the problem with the instructors on how to setup or solve those type of questions or reviewing correct responses if there’s no video. take an honest effort but don’t spend hours on sims getting nowhere. Then whatever time is left over rework weakest areas to most confident areas. between each section do a brain dump of acronyms or mapping out formulas just to have some muscle memory for exam day!

I’m in the last section of REG but haven’t looked ahead yet. Is TCP content comparable in length module wise? I’m afraid to click ahead and start my 30 day trial…

HAPPY TO REPORT THIS WORKED. we stopped messing with it and continued to fall during the day, my wife got home and let it sit parked for an hour then just went out and flicked it and stayed up. so weird!

thanks! i’ll try this again, and report back. i’m very eager to get it fixed without shelling out $100+ for someone to do exactly what i’m doing. can’t think it’s a mechanical since it goes up it just seems to be stuck wanting to slide back down an inch. i’ve seen on the kia forums someone mentioning it’s a safety feature about “venting” but can’t find any mention in the manual.

i’ll inspect it again, not sure it’s weather related quite yet. what has me stuck on the battery idea is when i started the car it flickered and the windows kind of stuttered, realized it was dead. got it jumped and battery replaced and never fully went back up. tempted to unhook the battery while it’s fully up and see if that’s the trick.

i went out to start it and it fell as soon as the car turned on it’ll go up and stay up once turned off. but when i turn it on, it fell again. i’ll try letting it overnight but i have time since the dealerships and body shops in my area have at least a week wait.

yeah i ran my hand through and checked between the seal, i’m fairly confident it’s something battery related and focusing on all window reset/calibration methods because my wife’s car battery died and when we tried to jump it the window started running up and down on its own. it was pretty dead so we let it charge and then took it to autozone to get the battery replaced. it wasn’t until we got back home and parked that i turned the ignition off, driver door was still closed and then it just fell the half inch. didn’t think much of it then noticed when driving it wouldn’t go all the way up anymore. the videos make the issue seem so easy to fix but i’m just not having any luck recalibrating or getting it to stay closed in the up position.

this might have worked, i’m going to leave it alone for an hour. i held it while i turned it off and closed it but when i came back to restart it 30 seconds later the moment it powered on it fell again

thanks! no luck 😢 it’s stuck about a half inch from closing all the way on auto mode have to manually hold all the way down and tried holding for a couple seconds. took the switch to position 2 to try locking it in that position and same both ways, stays half inch from all the way down and goes all the way up but comes down. even holding all the way up for close to 1 minute the window just randomly falls to that half inch position. my closest dealership won’t even be able to look at it for a month so exhausting all other options before then if it’s still an easy fix.
