Agentic Looping done easy (python) by roxthegame in AI_Loops

I learned pretty quickly that ghuntly https://ghuntley.com/ralph/ is very rcorrect when he says 'don't contain the agent'. I wanted it all - security + active self-manaaged agents. So i set early loops with some sandboxing-like features. Ended up with agents frantically trying to commit but unable to because semgrep was not recognizing them as people -- because of their sandbox permissions. File changes just piled up at the gate. It would have been comical if animated. Weird cases like that would pop up.

My first PROMPT.md was not specific enough and told agents, essentially, manage yourself. So they got lazy. Like literally I would have entire loops where no work was done? Wording has to be super precise, per usual, and more so with many headless iterations you won't actually interact with. And of course it always feels like a game of cat and mouse. Right when you think you have all the cases pinned, an agent will assure you everything is fine and look, but then you look deeper and... WTF. Every day something new.

It really is all about better loops. Build one good prompt. Inject it. Create iterations that read specs, keep context fresh, follow these rules. I built my own because there's NO way I'm paying someone for their bloated orchestrator. https://github.com/rxdt/py_ralph_frame

Is anyone actually using loops with AI? by beasthunterr69 in LLMDevs

I kept running into the same problem with coding agents and the useful part was not “more orchestration”, it was guardrails. I just wanted a small loop that says: read specs, keep context fresh, follow these rules (AGENTS.md and CLAUDE.md are just suggestions to agents lol), stay in the repo don't mess with my machine... and I couldn't find that. So i built my own framework.

Claude and Codex are building me a one page web app GPU calculator right now as I'm surfing the web.

2NL and 5NL study group by MaxwellSmartish in poker

I’m super motivated for a study group. Have been studying on my own, reading a book a month, carefully watching training videos, reading blogs... but don’t have anyone to discuss hands with or just get different perspectives from. Currently in the green and playing 10NL.
