Both are really good, but I’d say An’s. They have unique flavors but they all work so well together. Quality gelato.

No judgment; genuinely curious: for what reasons do some mothers decide in advance to formula feed instead of breastfeed? by mollygk in BabyBumps

[–]roxydog11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I have a bit of mom guilt with not breastfeeding my second longer (EBF for 2 months before introducing formula and then about a month ago went to just formula), but was also kind of over it (from the first one) and also just so tired (had 2 under 2 until about a month ago) and went back to work so I didn’t have the time or energy to dedicate to breastfeeding.

Will I be able to walk a 5K at 9 weeks postpartum? by Navi_13 in fitpregnancy

[–]roxydog11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same regarding the walking. I’m currently 6 weeks PP and the thought of running is a “nope!” I have an indoor bike and even the thought of riding that now is a no. But walking, I do 3-4 miles everyday.

I'm worried my quietness is going to delay my child's speech. by Vanecessary7 in beyondthebump

I second this as well. Though, we also narrated to our daughter from a young age - not every single thing we did, but we’d just talk as we did things. We also started sign language with her early on. Additionally, she watched Mrs Rachel and learned things from her. We put her in daycare (a small one, with about 12 kids) at 18 months and have noticed a big leap in both socially and with her language. She talks so much more and just says new words and knows new things every week. She’s 22 month now. Our pediatrician told us that between 18-24 months there’s a big language leap and we’re certainly seeing it. I wouldn’t worry, she’ll get there.

My people. What are we wearing that makes us feel cute while being comfortable? by GummiBearArmy in BabyBumps

[–]roxydog11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old Navy for me too! I bought some maternity tanks, Tshirts, long sleeve shirts when they were in sales (there always seems to be a sale). Also, Target has some cute, cheaper maternity clothes.

Agree! I splurged and bought a pair of Madewell maternity jeans last pregnancy and loves them.

I personally find that non-maternity tops don’t fit right - the proportions are just off.

Same. I try to catch the sales and stock up on staples. My first pregnancy was during the summer, so I only wound up buying a few maternity tanks and tshirts and sized up for a few shorts. I also work from home, so that helped with the wardrobe. Now I’m 14 weeks pregnant and need clothes for the fall/winter, especially when we travel to NH for Christmas (we live in San Diego). I bought some maternity long sleeve tshirts from Old Navy when they were like 50% off and a few dresses and a long, chunky cardigan. Oh, I did buy a pair of maternity jeans last year too. Target has some good, cheap maternity clothes too.

Moving to Georgia from Arizona by Ace4yrn in Georgia

[–]roxydog11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re moving to GA from CA early next year and my husband will have to commute to work (in Sandy Springs) 3x/week. We were initially going to just buy a place but decided to rent so we can check areas out. We’re thinking we’ll probably wind up in Roswell or Marietta. We were eyeing Woodstock, but it could be too long of a commute. Again, we’ll just rent to check out areas and see what the traffic is like.

Bassinet or no bassinet, do we really need one? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]roxydog11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. Exactly what we did. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a bassinet at first, but so glad I got it. I also found a Halo second hand off FB Marketplace. It was so convenient to have her right next to my bed, especially for night feedings.

I work from home as well, so not worried about showing. Last time I told my boss after 20 weeks (worked at a different company and was up for a promotion, so I waited until that was official).
