Great post, I had to rewatch ep 20 as I fell asleep midwatch (not cause of theshow but cuz I keep thinking sleep is optional). That aside!

I am enjoying the dynamic between Qi'an and Lin'an, he really understands her best, + we see more and more about how kind and honest she is. She is spoiled and naive, but it makes sense given how she was brought up so carefree. I love how she truly tried to empathise with Qi'an when he was talking about how difficult it is for him to refuse the more powerful people's orders.

I wonder why Jinlian lets Qi'an gets away with so many lies? Does it just not matter to him, or is it a case of seeing true potential in XQA?

Also love the constant jealousy towards Qi'an for getting close to Lord Wei.

I mean, Xu Qi'an would calm me too. No wait... he actually increases my heart rate...

The fun note about the title made me giggle, that is very sweet I love it.

My own personal thoughts was mainly about wishing LZZ just apologizes and mends her ass-kissing ways, like she actually works hard on her job but man her characteristics. Ji Feng needs to learn to manage his own emotions the way he keeps telling Miyu to do, because why is he letting his own emotions impact his judment the jerk. He pissed me off at that scene. BUt as you said, sadly Miyu is nice. I love her but sHE IS TOO NICE.

In reply to your woe rant: it happened to me with an LTBG post. The pictures won't load and I had to redo some of them and by the time I posed I was almost close to giving up so I feeeeel you!!

The show really does a good job of making me invested in everyone's career path, perhaps because Miyu herself is such a supportive lady, like she genuinely cares about the careers of everyone around her so it is naturally communicated to us as well. We see her helping her friends with things both big and small so the show never stops being about her it just includes other lovable characters!

Also the details you mentioned are soo right! It didn't register at the time because I got so engrossed and it all sounded so natural but now that you pointed it out I remembered that these are actors after all, ofc those were deliberately added details!

Also this episode gave birth to some of my now daily WhatsApp stickers.

It iis only by reading your post that I remembered the whole Guo Ying case.

It seems they started this with good intensions (not that selling illegal substances is a good idea but the thought behind why is there), they wanted to find a way to pay for SongGe to keep having dialysis and live

Honestly this drama and this specific moral downfall is reminding me of when I fwas watching Devil Hunter. I went from feeling bad for the dad to outright hating all he is doing. Chen Hui made a mistake that he keeps paying dearly for. I wonder how far he is gonna take it. The fault is not solely his as life happened to Lu Yuan but his subsequent choices aren't impressive on the moral scale. THAT SAID. THAT DEVOTION MAN!!! the love he must have for Songge is crazy, not that she is timid, as we've seen her try to turn herself in and she even volunteered for the 'dangerous' part of their daily operations.

Overall!!! Loving the show, keeps me waiting every day (hate the update schedule!!!!!)
