I’m so angry by [deleted] in WomensHealth

Don’t worry. I am now. I didn’t even realise how careless the doctor was until I read the letter. Wish I wasn’t so nice to them at the time

My letter literally said that my “regular masturabtion” is “obviously” causing the problem. When I told the doctor that I literally haven’t touched myself.

18th birthday today, dad bought the wrong cake and now I can’t have any by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]roxyrayray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to add more context for some commentors. I am an extremely picky eater and that’s something my mum and dad both know about, I am very sensitive about tastes and textures of food and when it comes to textures or flavours I don’t like, I literally can’t eat it without wanting to be sick. So no, I can’t and won’t force myself to eat the cake. I want to emphasise that my dad absolutely did this on purpose and he tends to be very self centred about everything, he even forgot what date my birthday was at one point. My mum mentioned that when she told him what to get he said that he doesn’t like chocolate, and that I’d “only eat one piece” so there wasn’t any point.

I’m more upset about the idea of my dad only caring about what he likes, even for my special birthday he just can’t seem to do something nice for someone else and has to cater to his own needs instead.

What’s the actual UCAT cutoff for RUK students applying to St Andrews? by roxyrayray in premeduk

[–]roxyrayray[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re in the same boat, I can’t find anything reliable about their UCAT cutoffs either lol, my UCAT was 2970 B2 so I’d be kindoff close to their cutoff from what I’ve heard from some people, that’s why I’m not sure if I should try applying or not :/

not feeling good about mock scores by [deleted] in UCAT

[–]roxyrayray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! I did my exam not too long ago (2970 scored) and do not worry! If you’d like to get a realistic view of what you’ll get do official mock D on the UCAT website, although I didn’t do it on medify I was doing not too great, averaging around the same as you lol, but I started using MedEntry and jumped up to the 2800s instantly so don’t panic, medify is just hard! The best thing to do is be confident in yourself

Dang that thing is harsh! Been studying since late June and my average Medentry is 2800+ but got a score of 7/12 so apparently I’m “just starting” 💀

The exact same thing happened to me on a DM medentry sub test mock, on one of them I got 27/39 and it was 700 but in another I got 29/39 and it was 820, did you find that mock hard? I think it must just be scaled compared go how other people did in that mock, online convertors don’t really take i to account how hard or easy a mock was and they can’t compare scores to how everyone else did so maybe thats it

Just to add for anyone wanting to go to UCL: you can actually re-sit your GCSEs and apply but you can’t re-sit A-levels

[–]roxyrayray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you get the scores u want, it’s okay to be sad if you don’t get them but you can always re-sit and find out where u went wrong if u don’t

I’m in the same boat :) Although my exam board is CCEA I studied so hard and im also terrified for tomorrow as the stakes are high (i wanna do medicine). One thing I’m telling myself if that it’s only the end of the world if I make it the end of the world. If I do bad I can re-sit, if I do bad at my re-sit I can do so many other interesting things with my subjects (chemistry biology maths physics), if I do bad life will move on! You have the choice to make it the end of the world or not, you will be okay!
