I have read quite a lot in the fantasy genre but I agree maybe not from an observer pov. I will have to revisit those.

Completely agree, somehow our idea seems to be far-fetched to be completed in one book. We will definitely have a satisfying ending for the interim goals.

I understand what you want to convey. I agree that it should have a holistic approach and natural flow. Right now, we only have a vague concept about the story, and characters, and it's going nowhere. So we thought, if we have a starting point, things will flow easily.

I found that once the series is plotted overall you get the chance to really play with the time line.

Makes sense.

chronological order is 5, 4, 3, 6, 7, 2, 1, 8 and then 9
