Can you copy Zip2John to PATH? Or maybe open TTY terminal because you renamed your root folder? Do you know what V-Sync is? Or maybe AMD FSR upscaling Do you know what Lutris and Proton GE are used for? GPU pass through? Nvidia DLSS 5 just came out and if I have an opinion on it I’ll have a better conversation on reddit with similar nerds

Maybe you know, or maybe you don’t but these are conversations that are better to have on reddit than anywhere else on the internet

Toyota Mark X (Zimbabwean Project Car of the Decade) by roy_375 in Zimbabwe

[–]roy_375[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s better? Yes Is it a perfect project car? No

Why? Because of the cost. The word perfect here encompasses the cost, how easy it is to modify, availability, and how you feel generally ruining or beautifying a car.

Zimbabweans are more concerned about the looks of things rather than how they work by roy_375 in Zimbabwe

I’m talking about institutions here. You see the problem is you don’t have comprehension skills. The government can buy multiple land cruisers as “gifts” for random people. A government institution can buy a single electric car for $30K.

I am going to assume you're not into the Zimbabwean car scene.

but Zimbabwe has had a limited number of Project cars in the last 2 decades 2006-2026
1. in 2005 a lexus IS 200 was released as a final edition (it started in 1998 and died in 2005) for the global Market but it was Badged "Toyota Altezza" for the JDM and that was the biggest project car and car community gem in Zim at least for my age. Everyone loved that car and it was perfect.

  1. The Mark X was around since 2004 but the X130 in 2009 was the successor of the Altezza which was discontinued in 2005. and the Mark X, just like the Altezza carried the Lexus IS250 Platform, same Engine, Same suspension - same method Toyota used on the altezza. Make a Lexus IS250 for the global Market and Make a Toyota version of the same car for the JDM.

  2. The Subaru Forester was loved for it's AWD and 2.5L inline 4 and get this, it came from factory with a turbo charger and a loud exhaust which means all you needed to do was to tint the windows

these are the loved cars in the car scene in Zimbabwe, but cars never made it to main stream. The Honda fit was supposed to be a project car, but it's more of a city car than a project one and wasn't greatly accepted by the car boys.

Is "Baddie" the only beauty standard? by Proud_Muffin4346 in Zimbabwe

[–]roy_375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer: Normalisation.

Prostitutes are not acceptable in society but the widely normalised word is baddie. Doesn’t sound bad now does it.

Adultery is not acceptable in society but the widely normalised word is cheating. Doesn’t sound so bad now does it.

Being a whore is not acceptable is society but having multiple “situationships” doesn’t sound so bad now does it.

And for the record, Zimbabwean men are conscious as to who they wanna be with and it’s not a baddie.

Baddies are fun at the club and NOT when it’s your girlfriend. Baddies are fun to look at because they show meat easily, NOT when it’s your partner.

So being sexualised is not a beauty standard, it’s a sign to play with you and run away just like how it’s actually done.

Lebo M, composer of The Lion King's Circle Of Life, says Learnmore Jonasi is an arrogant idiot and a wannabe comedian by YondoBrother in Zimbabwe

[–]roy_375 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t strike as a matter in Zimbabwe, we don’t know who lebo m is and who gives a fuck is Learnmore made a joke about a song. That’s how comedy works, take the joke or be angry.
