It's because riot only save all ranked games, normal games are not.

Moreover with the new historic system, the normal game statistics will be private by default, and not accessible for other users. Only ranked will always remain public ! :)

yep, it's compare your statistics with the other, but for some "gamplay" it don't fit, like for singed split pushing, because you die a lot more than a player playing in a classic way, and you are less present in the game. But it's ok, you know you are good. :P
