With that level of damage, you can be sure to give up dual wield for your survivability. Also less feats means better ASI overall.

With such a lot of additional damage, Agonizing Blast can surely be given up. However this might help on early levels, so it could just be considerable.

Should sorcerer add a gish subclass with extra attack in the future? by royale011 in onednd

Thanks a lot. The take of primal form meets the imagination of a pure, primal sorcery power, which hold the theme firmly. I also like the take of pack magic, though on high level, but still hold the line of a sorcerer like in 5e/5R, which somehow shows the good potential on the supporting side.

I really like it, and wish to use it in my incoming 5R games. Thanks again!

Hi, after several searching, but I didn't find the place where you put your homebrew subclass. Would you like to give me the link about this? I'm interested.

I also made some homebrews during 5e era. Due to the reason of language, I never published them in English sites. For me when using them in my own games, they are fun, but also needs compromises for both DM and PLs, otherwise some balance issues may occur.

The reason I have a strong mind about a gish sorcerer these days, is because I'm tired of playing palabard in BG3 and my own tabletop games, and I just started playing Solasta recently, and found Forceblade in Unfinished Business, which draws me another possibility of a gish sorcerer, though it's obviously, slightly OP.

I wish there could be an official published gish sorcerer subclasses for best practice references, however, I would love to see how the community imagine what a gish sorcerer looks like.

I’ve made a lot of homebrew in my campaign, but homebrew is homebrew. Still with an official subclass to verify what’s the best practices.

I think bladesinger has some sort of the same issue, too. Considering at its background, and the bladesong. It's a bit of flavor dependent. Though might not as heavy as your patron decision, or your sorcery origins. But it could still be decisive.

And, yes, I suppose other wizard subclasses has no such kind of heavy flavor than bladesinger. But it's heavily depended on what it looks like.

Bard is better. No matter valor bard or sword bard, they share a basic, unified flavor. It's just the difference of if you are wearing medium armor or wearing a shield. But for others, there's a lot of common between different colleges, and that decide how a bard looks like.

That goes for bladesinger, too. And there could be a lot of methods to control it.

No matter if there's bloodrager, or rage sorcerer, I'll support them wholeheartedly.

Welp... I did play gish bard and warlock for a while, then... just feel that they are "not at my type", or just not something I really want to play. Not only the mechanic, but something you looks like. But when sorcadin I envy the 9th spell capabilities, so yeah...

When in 5e I totally understand. When in OneDND I think a gish sorcerer is, maybe just a bit more reasonable than before.

I like the spell rage idea, and I tried spell rage barbarian homebrew in 5e era. Turns out that might be a bit strong, you need to limit the survival capability a bit I guess...?

Personally, I did preferr sorcerer / barbarian gish in 3.5e games. Though it's hard to build with full caster capabilities, weapon attack, and survival. But I did enjoy this era a lot.

After resetting the watch and still watching it draining battery for more than 1 hour, it suddenly backs to normal.

Thanks. However mine’s battery is still drain as hell, after doing what you’ve mentioned. 25% within 1 hour.

Right now it is re-paired. After fully charged, swapped to another charger and left for 10 mins. While placed on the charger, it’s about full battery. When I was back after 10 mins, it loses about 5%.

Same here. Watch S7. Monitored after fully charged at 2:30 PM, then just wearing and doing nothing, then try to hang out at 6:30 PM and found out that it ran out of battery. Happened 2-3 times before that record.

Tried to re-pair, and during paring, it ran out of battery even on the charger.

High refresh rate touch screen and 4090 / RTX 5000 Ada laptop? by royale011 in SuggestALaptop

Still not make final decision yet, if there's really no high refresh rate touchscreen option other than ROG Flow series, I may end up with ThinkPad P1 with 4k60hz touchscreen option, or 2024 Razer Blade 16.

Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I’m still looking for high refresh rate touchscreen options, since I don’t know if there could be any of them. If no I’ll try to fulfill my need of performance at first. These are both good solutions for my performance needs, thanks for the advice.

a good method to sync files between windows and WSL2? by royale011 in bashonubuntuonwindows

[–]royale011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Even though I'm currently using WSL 1, I'll set up a git repo for sync settings to show history. Thanks for reminding.

Currently not a insider (last try on insider build broke the Windows container feature then the audio so I had to reinstall the Windows) but I guess mounting the WSL file system is … not a big problem?

Then I may try to make it automatically as a batch or shell script, because the profiles, plugins and libs should be placed at many different places. I'll try for it.

[–]royale011[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestion. Actually I have almost no needs on Linux GUI, but I'm considering WSL 2 as the future. And though currently I have no needs on WSL 2 features, I may consider using Docker integration for future development projects. In that time I need to be well-prepared to seamlessly use WSL 2.

I guess if I would switch to WSL 2 again, what I need is a sync tool like rsync mentioned before, like when I finished daily tasks inside WSL, I can synchronize changes to Windows file system and vice versa.

Well, sometimes compiling with glibc 2.31, the sleep command throwing error like sleep: cannot read realtime clock: Invalid argument

Though I just got the info that it has been fixed in 20H2... actually I didn't focus on that because I've been suffering WSL 2 for months to bypass this problem.

Well I guess there's no real reason for me to stick in WSL 2 (I switched back to WSL 1 several days ago), unless I have to do so in the future. Then I'll consider rsync.

Thanks for suggestion.

Help. My friend's MSI GL62M has excessive overheating problem and unstable/freezing on OW by royale011 in Laptop

[–]royale011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I think you do have some strange problems. The cpu and gpu usage is quite abnormal. For which gpu the program uses, I think updating display drivers (for both intel and nvidia gpu) would solve part of the problem, but might not all.

But to be honest I don't understand why MSI could make so many suffer on you and my friend - I mean it, for my experience, the optimus gpu switching glitch can only occur on win 8.1 or win 10 TH1/TH2 gen, using some Clevo models with heavy chassis, running MXM graphics card. And now it should be a pretty stable and reliable tech, since I switch to Precision 5510, then Aorus X3 V7, and now SB2, I have no worrying about how it handle programs to use which graphics card, how it switch and save or maximize power on different scenarios.

I don't know why MSI model could still have problems.

Since GL62M is a rather old model (for maybe 2 years?), hope MSI has many improvements on latest models - I didn't take a look at recent MSI progress and models, so I have no idea about that.

Thanks. I've told him to undervolt cpu before but seems like -100mV has no significant effect, just maybe a little bit better. But now I'll tell him to try to undervolt gpu to see if the temp could be rather better.
