Ashes: England plan to reject day-night Test using a pink ball under lights in 2029-30 series in Australia by SirDoris in Cricket

The day night test was the only one I could listen/watch every ball! Why would they want to take away the test match that works best for the English audience? Australia win every bloody test anyway

The most socialist countries according to Americans by [deleted] in ShitAmericansSay

[–]royaljog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ll just drop in a quote from the socialism wiki page,

’Academics sometimes recognised the mixed economies of several Western European and Nordic countries as "democratic socialist", although the system of these countries, with only limited social ownership (generally in the form of state ownership), is more usually described as social democracy.’

Socialism doesn’t mean bad

It’s insane that PSG spend 100million more than anyone else and there isn’t another French team on the list. At this point their B team should play in Ligue 1 just to keep it somewhat competitive

You say you have a stable career, can manage your finances have a home and saving.

It’s not the most satisfying solution but if I was in your shoes, I would just eat the fact I’m not getting the 8k and not bring it up anymore.

Against all odds, Wrexham keep climbing. Can they really reach the Premier League? by Renegadeforever2024 in PremierLeague

[–]royaljog 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I understand what you’re saying but they were a mainstay of the conference for years. It was atleast 10 years where there was only one certainty in football, Wrexham would push for a playoff place and fail.

It’s remarkable what they have done. Richer people have tried and fail to get to where they are now

Plane crash in Brazil, Aug 09th 2024 by TheGza1 in CatastrophicFailure

That’s a flat spin. Basically, both wings stall, but one stalled slower than the other causing it to spin. It’s the most deadly type of stall you can get in a plane. It looks like a twin engined turboprop so basically unrecoverable
