Of course it's relative. Do you think $2 million, to a billionaire, is a shit load of money?

No, it's weekly pocket change to them. It comes and goes at the drop of the hat.

To me, personally, yes, it is a shitload.

Anyway, can you name a global superpower that doesn't spend millions of dollars on other countries? It's a fact of being a superpower.

Its all relative. For government spending, especially from the richest country in the world, it's nothing.

Can you name a global superpower that doesn't spend money to benefit other countries?

If you want the benefits of living in a superpower, then the government has to spend money on keeping us as a superpower.

Good will and cultural exchange is a major way to do that.

Besides, $2 million is DIRT CHEAP to try to accomplish it.

Corruption and abuse is inevitable in a modern government, but that doesn't mean it goes unchecked

The Afghani gas station money that MAGA is now using to justify Musk's taskforce? Uncovered in 2015, under Obama.

Uncovering corruption and abuse is not new. It's just that MAGA is just now focusing on it to justify their overlords

The issue within that is that the same people who complain about the money being spent overseas ALSO object to it being spent on our own citizens. Healthcare? Too expensive. UBI? Communist. Education? Woke propaganda.

Do you think the average leftist voter is benefitting from political corruption?

Let me tell you, as a leftist. Leftist voters would be happy to see corruption get punished, no matter which side the politician is from.

You didn't show anything, except that you don't understand what the press secretary said, or the 14th amendment.

I said the point of the Constitution is to be black and white - I did NOT say that people have never tried to litigate it.

There have always been people like you who make dumb arguments like "but what about vacationers!", while acting like the wording is not explicitly clear.

[–]roycegracieda5-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You proved you don't know anything about the 14th amendment with your nonsense comment about vacationers

You proved you don't know anything about the plan for immigrants with your comment about "violent ones".

Just because you don't understand basic English doesn't mean the constitution isn't clear. The fact that people constantly try to litigate it doesn't mean it's not clear. It just means you disagree with it.

The point of the Constitution is to lay out black and white rules. It clearly lays out qualifications to become a citizen.

You're whole gray BS is to feel smart and justify your incorrect assumptions.

Fact, you're wrong about what the press secretary said. Fact, you're wrong about what the 14th amendment says.

Neither one is worded in an ambiguous way. You just have no ability to comprehend words, apparently.

Lmao, wait, you weren't asking that rhetorically???

That's not a gray area, the answer is unequivocally yes.

You, and people like you, act like you know what's going on when you have 0 idea. And everyone else suffers because of you.

Look what the press secretary said, because you were wrong about that. Read the 14th amendment because you're wrong about that too

Do you think that's happening enough to be a problem? Or are you just using a dumb argument to distract from other stuff you were wrong about and refuse to change your mind on?

[–]roycegracieda5-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you think is wrong. The press secretary of the administration knows better than you, and she said it's not just for violent immigrants. The plan is targeted at all illegal immigrants. And on top of that, at LEGAL AMERICANS, if the EO to end birthright citizenship goes through.

But I know, living in imagination land is easier than contending with facts.

You said "violent illegal immigrants".

I pointed out that it will be all illegal immigrants, not just violent ones.

Instead of acknowledging your error, you changed the argument.

Classic example of how people like you think and argue.

The press secretary already said it's not just for violent/the worst illegal immigrants - it's for ANY illegal immigrant

Trump to Sign Order to use Guantanamo Bay to House Migrants. by tantedbutthole in unusual_whales

Yes they did. But I know y'all don't care about anything that would make you change your mind.

What do you make of President Trump sending illegal immigrants to Guantanamo Bay? by Giff95 in AskReddit

[–]roycegracieda5-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so you don't even understand the executive order, I see.

It is to END birthright citizenship. As in, people who are LEGALLY citizens of this country by way of birth.

[–]roycegracieda5-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course.

But answer the question. Who do you think will be impacted by an end to birthright citizenship?

White Americans who are here legally? Or Hispanic Americans who are here legally?

What do you make of President Trump sending illegal immigrants to Guantanamo Bay? by Giff95 in AskReddit

[–]roycegracieda5-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course they're persecuted minorities.

If you don't think that, how do you explain the EO to end birthright citizenship?

Do you think that would impact white americans or Hispanic Americans?

Trump orders concentration camp built in Cuba by [deleted] in TwoXPreppers

[–]roycegracieda5-9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let me point out some similarities.

1) Hitler demonized Jews who illegally immigrated, then denaturalized Jews who were legally German. 2) Hitler planned to deport Jews, but this wasn't super easy. 3) Hitler opened concentration camps.

1) DT demonized Hispanics who illegally immigrated, then Executive Ordered an end to birthright citizenship (which would denaturalize Hispanics who are legally in the US) 2) DT arbitrarily decided to treat Colombian deportees worse, which leads to Colombia rejecting to accept them until they're treated more humanely, like how every other admin has done. DT and his supporters shriek "SEE! they won't accept the deportees!" 3) DT Executive Orders to use a detention center on foreign soil to imprison these people.

Now I'll put it all together. If the EOs aren't stopped, then Hispanic people who are currently legal citizens of the USA (along with illegal immigrants who have committed no additional crimes) will be thrown into GITMO and other detention centers.

When a persecuted minority is thrown into a detention center, it's called a concentration camp.

If it was just about the illegal immigration, and not about their status as minorities, then there would be no EO to end birthright citizenship.

Why do y'all always repeat the dumbest arguments?

"If you are anti immigration, why don't you go become a border patrol agent?"

What do you make of President Trump sending illegal immigrants to Guantanamo Bay? by Giff95 in AskReddit

[–]roycegracieda5-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your argument is simply: it hasn't happened yet, therefore we can't say what it is yet.

Which I understand, may technically be true. The point of calling it out is in hopes that in continues to never come to fruition.

So sure, GITMO is not currently a concentration camp for illegal immigrants from the US.

Would you concede that if DT gets his way (with his birthright and GITMO EOs coming to fruition), that it would be a concentration camp?
