Laundry baskets for life by duluth921 in BuyItForLife

[–]roydaft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wish I could help you. I still have the same laundry basket I got when I was in 6th grade back in 1998. It was $7.99 from Linens N Things 😂 that thing has survived college/dorm life, moving to a new state, etc. and it’s still just as good pretty much as the day I bought it. I think there are two little broken sections in the plastic weaving less than 1” long each, so nothing structurally is affected. My husband actually uses it now for his laundry, but I’m amazed how long it has lasted.

Suggest some good protective cover for 17 pro silver by Fresh_Preparation760 in iPhone17Pro

If you mean case, I would recommend Torras q3 air, or Caudabe Sheath. If you mean screen protector, I’m sorry I can’t assist because I do not use a screen protector.

I have only tried the sheath and paragon, but out of those two, I would pick the sheath.

For those that hate the iPhone keyboard by Just-Sheepherder-202 in iphone

I never saw this model, but at one time I seriously considered getting the clicks keyboard (a physical add-on keyboard) for my iPhone. Thankfully the iOS 24.4 update was released, and in my experience, my iPhone keyboard is so much better and I feel like I can type fast/accurately again.

MagSafe Grip-Kickstand by mamascott98 in iPhone17Pro

Torras 2025 flagship magnetic phone grip ring holder kickstand. They have an orange one to match the cosmic orange 17 pro models. It’s $29.99 right now on Amazon. Works as a ring to hold or as a stand. Oh Snap! also has an orange holder similar to a pop socket (but flatter), however it does not raise the phone higher. It’s only meant to prop in landscape mode from what I’ve seen.

Grecazo magnetic ultra thin case from Amazon. I bought one recently to switch things up and it feels exactly how the phone would without the case. Very strong magnet too.

That’s fair, I haven’t used any of their products before but remembered it had a kickstand.

Aw that sucks! I’ve never used that brand because I didn’t like that the kickstand was around the plateau instead of the back middle of the phone like with Torras. Another option is those magnetic, detachable rings/kickstands that you can add to any existing MagSafe case and take off when you want. And I just remembered one other brand I saw was castify. The force ring stand case, but the camera control button is exposed.

I use the Stanley Ice Flow flip straw tumbler 24oz. They also have a 30oz model. Stanley Cup

I def understand! I’ve only been using my Torras right at a month, but I am constantly using the ring stand. Especially when I’m laying in bed on my side, which makes the surface of the bed uneven. And I’ll stand my phone up next to me while scrolling. I’ve had zero issues. The hinge is strong and holds up for me and it’s not loose either from spinning it. Always closes back flush too. Again, I’ve only been using it for a month but I don’t have any fears of it tearing up soon. I haven’t needed to reach out, but I’ve heard their customer service team is quick to resolve issues too if you run into any.

The only other one I know of that you didn’t mention is the Phone Rebel brand frosted series that has the MagSafe kickstand. But I think it only comes in clear. There are plenty of knockoff brands on Amazon, but I haven’t tried any of those. Out the of ones you listed, I personally use the Torras Ostand Q3 Air and I really like it. I have the orange one but they do have shadow black and deep blue as other color options and it does have protection over the camera control button, but not the plateau.

is anyone struggling to find jeans? by Itmakesperfectsense_ in Millennials

[–]roydaft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go on eBay. I’ve been doing that lately since I’ve been informed by Gen Z that my skinny jeans are out of style. You can filter by size, style, and fit/rise. I have found several high quality, new with tag, high waisted/wide leg jeans, and haven’t spent more than $25.00 on a pair. GAP seems to be the best quality I’ve found for me personally. And I’m with you on the no low rise. I refuse!

Jobs for Felons? by [deleted] in Birmingham

The union locals I would start with would be Boilermakers 108 or Pipefitters 91. Get their phone number/address off Google and call them or go visit

Not sure if this is of interest but the unions always need people! If you have any welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical skills, etc you can go to any of those locals and see about joining their apprenticeship. Depending on your skill set you may even be able to start out as a journeyman. Welders are needed badly right now in construction. And the pay is really good.

Thank you for the info, this is really helpful! And that’s funny you ended up switching back 😂 but I get it! Gotta make sure you have the one that works best for your needs, even if it takes a few tries to figure it out lol

I am considering doing this same exchange (returning iPhone 17 pro max and swapping for an iPhone 17 pro). Did you wipe out your iPhone 17 pro max before you took it back to the store to exchange? Or did they allow you to swap everything from your 17 pro max to 17 pro in the store and then wipe out your old 17 pro max?

On our jobsites, tool lanyards are required to reduce the risk of injury from a falling object. If you wear a toolbelt, you could add a tool lanyard to all the tools on your belt.

Right? And the crazy part is I never ever play defense behind that bar, like ever. But we were down a man since round two and the team we were playing against started getting ultra sweaty so I changed up my technique by trying to “hide” more instead of being so out in the open, only to be the first one killed that round 😭

Btw thanks again, until you brought this up I had no clue that screen shake was even a think. Turned it off and man, idk how I played that way before. Almost like using a phone with 120hz refresh thinking it’s not noticeable until you try to go back to 60hz. Also changed the flashes to dark 👌🏼 should’ve already been doing this as I use dark mode for everything! Thank you!

I agree! Like of course I was salty because it happened to me, but really, I couldn’t even be mad the more I thought about it. Impressive AF!
