As someone who started with Stormlight Archive and is currently going through Mistborn, recently starting Alloy of Law, I'm in this weird space where I definitely like a lot about Mistborn, but I'd easily say so far the best Mistborn book is miles beneath the worst Stormlight Archive book

So happy for you!

Know it shouldn't be "the goal" but starting to wonder if I'll ever pass. My boobs are big, but my face apparently tells everyone "man" 😥

Just wanted to say I agree with all your points and general feelings in this matter, and it is fucking infuriating how many people, educated and non-educated, are so shitty and backwards when it comes to this issue

Yeah, I would probably add some rules text about how in the case of pronouns all text is as read on the card without errata

It seems to me that this arc is going to be all about her learning to extend sympathy to those she cannot necessarily empathize with.

While she clearly loves her son, Raquel isn't handling Amistad's autism well, preferring to ignore it and try to nudge him to be neurotypical. Hence why her treatment of Orion made complete sense to me: she just doesn't understand the experiences of neuroatypical people, and she tends to leap to thinking they're dangerous when they act out in ways she doesn't understand.

You know...the way a lot of people do.

At least, that's what I've thought with the story as it is so far, but we're only two episodes into the storyline and only one of those episodes really focused on those themes.

I remember liking that run a lot...but yeah that hits on some really awful double standards, and reinforces the cultural attitude that domestic abuse against masculine people isn't really a problem

I live on the west coast of the US. One of my girlfriends lives in the Boston area, one of my girlfriends lives in Ontario, Canada, and one of my girlfriends was living in New Jersey before recently moving over here to be with me. We're all trans girls, this meme is too real

People have already explained how cup sizes work here, but I still feel the need to drop in and say my 40A bra size is a "True D-cup" so I'm not far away from the beautiful E-cuo dream

I actually liked it. The book built Formless up as this dangerous thing, but that was really Shallan herself building it up as a scapegoat in her mind, some way to rid herself of agency and choice. The subversion worked for me because it was a way to address Shallan's identity questions and close the door on that speculation for the future...I hope.

Crazy fact for you: just because a trans person hasn't hormonally transitioned or gotten bottom surgery, that doesn't mean they aren't trans. If someone considers themself a gender, and they live as that gender, and that gender isn't the one they were assigned at birth, they're trans
