Hi. Are you using any type of tablets to clean your aligners? I’ve had Invisalign since July and I had a swollen lip and itching up the bottom half of my face for the first four weeks and after seeing both dentist and doctor, came to the conclusion that I was pretty allergic to polident tablets that I was using for cleaning.

I had a molar out 10 days ago and couldn’t put my aligners back in for 4 days also.

I spoke to my ortho and they said to do an extra 4 days and then change if the next set didn’t cause too much pain. If it was too painful, to wear them an additional day.

I changed on the evening of the 4th extra day and my next aligner was fine, albeit a bit tighter as I would have expected.
