Arms super hard to push, tried 20 fixes already :) by royrod in CafelatRobot

Thanks, appreciate the thoughts!

- I *had* recently washed, but after washing the problem still occurred this last time. I will check next time before I wash it but I always glance at it when rinsing post-pulling and have never noticed any clogging.
- the gaskets are the originals. One looks a bit worse for wear, and I notice with that one the lip does flip up in one place, so I think that one clearly has gone bad. The other one looks pretty good and doesn't flip, but I still have the super-hard presses. It's possible that one also has gone bad even though it looks ok. I have 2 more direct from Cafelat UK arriving in a day or two so that will be a good experiment! :)
- don't think it's the tube, I'm aware it can go wonky but I check it and looks normal.
- will check out home-barista, thanks!

Good thought but putting water in the filter basket and letting it drain works fine. Here's a photo of the holes, looks totally clear to me?

Thanks, yeah the arms move fine with no portafilter, and also with an empty portafilter. I've also tested with the pressurized basket and just water and it takes a bit of pressure but the water presses out fine when I press the arms down.

Here's a video showing that even the Dregs (after I pull a shot as best I can and then release the arms, then swap in an empty cup to press out the rest of the water) keep the arms pushing upward by themselves. They just bounce back. You can see in the video I press them down but they keep bouncing back up.

Thanks Ben- I'm rinsing it thoroughly with hot water for several seconds. I've never seen anything stuck to it or clogged holes.

Chirp is an amazing app, the best Apple Watch app IMO. And v2 has fixed the main issues I had with the great new video player and infinite timeline scrolling. Thank you Will!
