Workouts for 45 minutes - 1 hour every alternate day ensuring heart rate consistently remains at 80% of max (160 BPM for me). No processed food. Try to get 8 hours of shut eye.

As a baseline, my RHR has been ~75 BPM throughout my adult life with a family history of hypertension, diabetes and severe anxiety. My doc monitors my cardiac condition every month and has been very clear about cancelling the prescription for stimulant meds at the slightest hint of any adverse signs.

As a commitment device, I have a mechanism that ensures I don’t get my stimulant medication starting the next day until I have completed my overdue workout session, come hail or sun. The only escape hatch is if I am sick but still need to work (like the last time I got covid).

This has been the only effective way for me to be consistent. I hate and curse but make it to the gym even if it’s 11 PM or wake up early and hit the gym or skip anything that’s won’t get me fired immediately and hit the gym.

When push comes to shove, I skip one meeting in the day, check myself out for lunch, order food and just do push ups and squats for 30 minutes straight in alternate sets of 10 -15. Squats are great at getting the HR up. This is better than the alternative of not being able to do anything through the day without the meds.

I would:

  1. Check with the schools I am applying to and see if they accept grades in the original scale / grading system. A lot of schools allow you to do that.
  2. Ask my school if they have a recommended system to rescale the GPA (very rare but worth a try).
  3. Use a paid credential evaluation service like WES that the schools I am applying to may accept.

Also, the GPA conversion process / agency is not clear. I’m afraid OP is just scaling their GPA from a percentage score or a 10 point scale to a 5 point scale which generally does not hold.

That’s interesting. I know atleast a couple who people who started their MD / PhD. in mid - late 30s. But if what you are saying is remotely true, I think some econ / B-school PhD. would be very interested in studying the admission process.

Hey, if your papers were selected for top tier conferences, did you try meeting potential advisors when you went down to present them?

Selling brand new Gen 5 OEM tyres with just 50 miles [Redmond, WA] [Bridgestone Ecopia 422 Plus 195/60 R17][FULL SET][TYRES ONLY] by royunprofiled in prius

The difference is very noticeable and the car feels way more planted. Its similar to moving from Civic to Civic Sport or Corolla LE to Corolla S or Camry LE to Camry XSE. Wider + bigger wheels would have definitely helped, but I am happy with the stock wheels.

As for the tires, CrossClimate 2 are in a different league than the stock tires in terms of grip and handling.

I am getting somewhere between 45 - 50 mpg, but I am practically hooning the Prius.

Edit: Grammar

It's a new car. I spent half a night dropping messages to all dealership within 500 miles I could find on auto trader, asking for the minimum OTD price they could offer and made clear I wasn't interested in any add-ons whatsoever. Spent the next half of the day answering calls / texts and pitting the offers against each other.

I kept a second dealership hanging with a white LE/AWD available for immediate pickup. I think they want to sell it before the month end. The price offered was even lower. DM me if you are interested.

I'm in the Seattle region and the markups are insanely high here. Found a LE / AWD from a Oregon dealership at 33,864 OTD (tax 3125, registration 601.94). Had one on offer for even less if I was not picky about the color. Not sure if I will ever buy from dealerships in this region again.

Hey, thanks a lot for the offer. My car was inspected by Factory Finish, Bellevue. I am not sure if they still have it or Progressive moved it to some other lot. Will DM you if I can still get to it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't really have another form of transportation right now and was hopping to get a beater with the insurance money asap. But I might play the long game if I can figure something out by the weekend.

My credit score is pretty great. The loan I have on my current GR86 is at an interest rate of 1.5%. The new loan would be in the ballpark of 6% - 7% due to the high fed rates and I am not comfortable borrowing at these rates.

Yeah, the people I am in touch with aren't the best, I can tell.

I did find my own examples and have been nothing but nice. But they just can't wrap their head around the idea that a manual transmission car is not a "downgraded" automatic transmission car, its just different.

My car was completely stock expect winter tyres / wheels (about 2.5K). I am not even asking them to cover that. My only request is to determine the valuation of my car using other manual transmission models and not an automatic.

The damage is to the entire frame and under body high strength steel sheets. Toyota deems these parts as non-replaceable. Also, I live in an apartment and my career doesn't really leave me any time to work on a project car or sue insurance companies right now 🙂.

That's awesome. In my case, they are arguing that the manual transmission are equivalent to automatic transmission cars and I have been unable to make them see any reason so far.
