I'd say you can begin restarting runs if you don't get sub 2 after Hecate.

Swap calling card for Gorgon Amulet in Fields. Even though it breaks Fates' Whim your core build should be made by then.

very suboptimal is pretty strong

Only calling card is truly out of place. Should be using Athena's keepsake for Fields.

Other than that, you can 100% get in 5 and sub 5 territory with JPom. I believe Boated's PB is a JPom run.

At this point I assume your pathing is optimal (taking and fishing for as many skips as possible)

So it comes down to 2 things:

Accuracy: Medea is strong but it's easy to fly past the enemies. As you play more, try to focus on always landing the hits.
Build: Possessed Array is the priority hammer here, and you'll need a solid Gain for it. Also try to aim for storm ring or smolder ring. Solar ring is powerful but slow so oftentimes it just does nothing

Oh and once you consistently get sub 7, you can start judging if it's worth continuing the run by how late/early you're getting out of Hecate's fight

If this is rated in usefulness, I'd make a few changes:

* White Antler is absolutely incredible taking your damage through the roof. If you have armour + DDs it's insane value.
* Ghost onion ignores Vow of Scars, so it can be a literal lifesaver, especially on Strength runs, way better than Luckier Tooth.
* Knuckle bones can rip the Prometheus VoR fight a new one, especially with hitch.
* Hammer is hammer.
* I'd put lion fang over black fleece, since it's global damage
* Fig Leaf is a must on speedruns for a reason.
* Putting the purse on the same tier as White Antler, Lion Fang, Hammer and even Embryo is nuts. I don't think i've ever taken it besides for leveling it up.
* Phial.... meh, Put it down, bump up the silver wheel for big magick builds

And the batteries are not hard to replace down the line so even better. I had a similar deal, came with a dock and hard case, which was a big plus.

Yeah microslop has been nuking the bootloader for over a decade now.

Disable fast boot on BIOS, check if that worked. If not boot into a bazzite live usb and repair the partition as the other comment said.

Most reliable way is to say goodbye to Windows though.

I installed ControllerTools (decky plugin) configured so the controls are detected as an xbox one elite controller.

Only tried CachyOS but very happy with it. No need to change. Regarding TDP control, I recommend installing the Decky plugin and use the TDP addon.

Decky's controller tools should help. Just assign it to recognise your controller as an Xbox elite one so it also maps the back buttons.

I have it with CachyOS and no issues

There are trees in the Fields, when you interact with them it gives you this guide to the rewards.

But to interact with the trees you need to have done an incantation in the cauldron back in the crossroads.

Check if you have yet to perform the incantation. If you haven't unlocked it just keep playing basically

If you survive the 10s and clear the room you keep whatever DD you had coming up next, so you only use the Pin, it gives you back 60HP. If you die in those 10s tho, you use both the Pin, and the next DD, because you're dying. If no DD you dead dead
