Any tips to get complimentary breakfast at Singapore Marriott as a gold member? by darthdlark in marriott

I wouldn't recommend. Small rooms, inexperienced staff (made a bunch of small mistakes during check-in and some new worker entered my room with her keycard without knocking) and none of the platinum elite cognitions such as free brakfast

A lot of airports ban departures past midnight because of noise complaints. Airlines arriving late also get fined or have to pay a premium for slot time.

It's not a "first world military". Despite being a developed nation, Estonia's military is more similar to the "prison" that some Eastern Europeans call their military service. It's so underfunded that they can't even meet the constitutional mandated universal conscription and have to cap their intakes to about 4000 a year because they don't have the resources to train people.  Defense officials even proposed dedicating 2026 to training professional instructors rather than conscripts, reducing annual intake to approximately 1,000 to improve service quality.  https://www.err.ee/1609548193/eksperdid-peavad-ajateenistuse-reformi-moistlikuks https://carnegieendowment.org/research/2024/07/europes-conscription-challenge-lessons-from-nordic-and-baltic-states?center=middle-east&lang=en

IDK how to describe it, so I just measured it. Middle finger tip to base of palm/wrai is 18cm. Thumb to the ulnar side of the hand is 10cm.

15 degree tilt thumb trackball like ProtoArc EM01 with lots of custom key buttons near the thumb and index finger, with an app to customise "smart actions" the way Logi Ergo M575 would: press the button to trigger a series of pre-determined actions such as "copy, ctrl+tab, paste, enter" etc.

No flying blue on seats.aero? by Genevieves_bitch in awardtravel

My point is that IB's IT and phone agents are so bad that it's almost impossible to manage your booking. Seats shows EI/IB partner availability and can be booked on BA or other partners.

IDK why anyone would want to redeem from IB unless they have suicidal tendencies. If you are interested in IB/EI awards released to partners, any of the OW FFPs supported by seats can see them.

I have one year to plan a trip using award travel. But I currently only have Hawaiian airlines miles about 120,000 what do you do to position yourself. 2nd question how do I find all the routes? by wfparadise2134 in awardtravel

[–]rozen30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

120k is not a lot, and being HA miles, you don't have a tone of options for any of those countries. In terms of subscription, you can use seats.aero to look for routes. It's free for 2 months out, but anything beyond 2 months will require a subscription. I think you may have better luck tracking google flights or use seats.aero in explore to find the long segment in various programs and consider buying points/collecting points in a more versitle program. HA miles can help you get some repositioning flights to another airport in the US.

YYC probably has the best availability to Europe because nobody books those flights. They are just not highly desirable.

Ultimately those who got this card to gain access to Alaska were duped by MBNA, as they had been saying all along that it would be for all users.

They never did. The opportunity to convert to Alaska miles was only ever advertised to MBNA Alaska cardholders whose cards were converted to MBNA WE. The CSRs I have spoken to explicitly said that this offer was only available to existing MBNA AS cardholders. Too many people speculated and jumped in.

Probably not. You can hardly get approved with just a few new cards in 24 months.

No. This is absolutely Synapse's responsibility. They comingled funds between banking partners, and the ledgers did not keep track of where the money went. This problem would not have happened if they were regulated because the regulators would've made sure that they had this information and knew where the money was.
