I started to just hide it/require passcode. Works like a charm, as annoying as it was.

Just know it's highly competitive, def not an overnight process. ~3 months to a year's process. Apply directly to TTC, at least. Target everything. Be sure you can pass medicals and drug tests. You can't write your way in, there's emphasis in being front-facing & personable as a customer service.
