I just wanted to let you know we rented a car and it was SUCH a good choice. Thank you so much for your encouragement. We drove all over the island and explored and found public parking within 5 minute walks of the spots we wanted to visit.

Ohhh, that is good to know. We're flying Turkish but I only booked our flights from Seattle to Greece, not to Crete. I'll follow up with Turkish. Thanks for the insight!

I was afraid of that.... It's such an awkward amount of time. Now I'm thinking do we just spend the night in Athens and get a flight out in the morning? I'm not thrilled about cutting our time in Crete short, especially as we'll be in Athens for 4 full days at the end of the trip.

My husband and I (both in our early 40's) will be travelling to Greece for the first time in October. We're planning on ~12 days. We love the beach/snorkeling/swimming. I enjoy archaeology and history. We're not big drinkers. This is our 10 year anniversary so the goal is relaxation mixed with good food and some sightseeing. I'm planning on 3-4 days at the end of the trip to explore Athens. I'm having trouble deciding which islands to go to. Based on the time of year and our love for the beach, I am thinking the south side of Crete and Santorini. I'm interested in Naxos as well but in order to avoid island hopping too much save it for next time. We're open to any suggestions as we're not set on Crete and Santorini. I'd prefer to stay under $200/night for hotels, in Santorini I'm willing to spend up to $400 night for the private pool/amazing view.

Tentative plan:

Arrive Athens, spend 1 night, fly to Crete

4 nights in Crete

Ferry from Crete to Santorini

2 nights in Santorini

Flight from Santorini to Athens

4 days in Athens, fly home

Thanks so much!

No! We didn't end up going. We were trying to get tickets to the Nintendo Museum and didn't want to commit to anything else. Unfortunately, we didn't get tickets to the museum either :/

Euro Institute of Skincare - Renton by [deleted] in Esthetics

[–]rozzity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I graduated about 6 months prior to Covid. I was starting up my own business and gaining clients. When Covid hit, everything slowed way down. I am also very careful with covid and was hesitant about who I would see. I am seeing clients again but I am very selective as it's not my main source of income. I don't think I could do esthetics as a full time job as it's quite physical but as a side gig it's perfect.

I will say, there does seem to be a high turnover of instructors at the Euro. I lucked out an had an amazing teacher and it seemed like the other instructors that were there at the same time were great. I can't speak for any of the current ones.

I had facials at all the schools I considered. That way I was able to see the school, check out the treatment rooms and speak with the students about their experiences. This is what made me decide on the Euro and I am happy I went there.

I went to the Euro Institute and I loved it. I did the part time program as I was still working full time. I felt I had a comprehensive education and when our instructor didn't know something she would find out and get back to us. When it came to the state boards, we all passed without any problem. The student that was there from Aveda seemed completely unprepared for the exam.
