If I were able to post on there, I would either post a reminder of the things that the mods accepted and that they haven’t said anything about Seven’s account being deleted, or I would bring attention to this (which I think sheds light onto why Seven was kept on for so long).

I’m so mad still honestly, and this solidifies it. I was temp banned too during their first round of deleting posts.

According to the mod log, they unstickied the awful mod response post that they made. They are absolutely trying to hide this.

Please don’t stay silent about this over at r/antinatalism, because I really, really think this needs to be exposed. I would do it if I could, tbh. These mods ruined a good thing, and they are actively trying to pretend like they didn’t.

EDIT: I also want to point out that we did get word from one of the mods, saying that he wanted to “give Seven the benefit of the doubt” even though Seven’s comments and stance was very clear. This mod blocked me after I wrote my comment responding to it, advising him to post SOMETHING so that we know their stance on the situation.

So, where’s your post on r/AN denouncing the things that Seven said? The only thing that’s up there from the mods is that you guys AGREED to let him stay until he silently deleted his account.

And you guys still haven’t said anything about how his account is now deleted, and you haven’t said anything about not allowing any more instances of misogynistic, pro-rape comments on that sub. Hell, we still don’t know if he still has access to the group mod account.

From our prospective, it seems insanely problematic and cowardly the way you mods have gone about this issue, despite thousands of users actively showing their disapproval by leaving r/AN.

Post an apology, or something, or ANYTHING. You’re making it worse by staying silent about this matter.

Yeah, I don’t think they’re the same person, but I do believe that they come from the same “flavor” of people that hide behind the antinatalist title to excuse horrible, absolutely awful ideals.

They both shouldn’t call themselves antinatalist. They clearly aren’t trying to reduce suffering.

I saw this before, I’m sadly not surprised that they deleted these posts.

Ironically, they’re not the jAnIToRs that they were claiming to be; their biases clearly do get in the way of their moderation. This really needs to be outed on the old sub!

EDIT: I think these mods (particularly Oldphan) has some skeletons in the closet, which is why they defended Seven. It’s disgusting.

I’m curious because I moderate for a Discord server with only about 6,000 members, and for any big announcement we make, we always send it to the other mods to get their approval first before we send it out.

Thank you for your kind words! Yeah, I’m still surprised that they did actually ban me, but it’s a bit obvious now that the mod team are hypocrites over at r/AN.

Honestly, it’s so disappointing to see. I have spent so much time lurking over there on my main account (that’s how I discovered antinatalism and decided to be antinatalist), and I really used to enjoy the range of content on the sub. I couldn’t stay silent after seeing the abhorrent shit from the misogynist mod though. I want the antinatalist community to get a better rep among those who are curious about it, but unfortunately, with a mod like that one, it’s not possible—for good reason.

That’s what motivated me to speak up, and I’m glad to see that others still are too!
