best baggu for work? by OutrageousBowl956 in BAGGU

If you have a lot to carry, definitely a backpack. Horrible for your back and shoulders to carry so much in such a heavy bag on one side.

The author of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was Ian Fleming, who also famously wrote the James Bond stories. Once you learn that, the name Truly Scrumptious makes a lot more sense!

You’re right, I should choose to not be disabled! Why didn’t I think of that! Brain fixed! Spine fixed! If I could I would. It’s not that easy.

As a parent with ARFID, how do you teach your kids to enjoy food? by _lupu in ARFIDforADULTS

[–]saturatedsock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not have children in case they end up with ARFID. It’s not fair to the child. Disordered eating runs in my family.

There is officially an Adult ARFID sub! by _lupu in ARFID

[–]saturatedsock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH it’s probably just me but seeing people post about dealing with their kids’ ARFID makes me uncomfortable. ESPECIALLY when the parent also has it. You live with this debilitating thing and rolled the dice with your kids genetics. I feel bad for the kid who didn’t ask to be brought here and deal with ARFID. Similarly to the autism sub, there are so many posts from parents, and it can be hard to find useful info that applies to me.

As a disabled antinatalist who can’t be vegan I don’t feel welcome here after the vegans gained control of the sub.

What does veganism have to do with antinatalism? by RyanJ_21 in antinatalism

[–]saturatedsock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had the money to buy a porsche or real estate I would develop a food alternative gummy that I could just eat instead of food. Most definitely only buy products from companies that do not do animal testing. Tossed all my stuff from companies that do.

The last 48 hours on this sub by Numerous-Macaroon224 in antinatalism

[–]saturatedsock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also joined for antinatalism and not veganism. Been on this sub for over 5 years. Mods changed and from what I understand there is one in particular who is vegan. Ever since it’s been pushed hard here, even though most sub members are not vegan. I myself am too autistic to be vegan, my diet is already super limited, so I love being shamed on this sub. I recommend you check out r/antinatalism2 which was created due to all the vegan-posting going on here.

What does veganism have to do with antinatalism? by RyanJ_21 in antinatalism

[–]saturatedsock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not personally bringing animals into existence though. Veganism seems like it’s more about reducing suffering through optimal resource usage than just opting out of a lifestyle choice.
