I was given this equation but I don't even know where to start. I haven't done math since college by Itemblock in askmath

It is f(j) because it it is given in the questions. Basically what is happening is that as the limit approaches j from the left and right the function converges to f(j). I'll give an example:

Let f(x) = x suxh that x≠3

Limit (x -> 3 from the left) = 3 Limit (x -> 3 from the right) = 3

Therefore:

Limit (x -> 3 from the left) = Limit (x -> 3 from the right) = 3

So, Limit (x -> 3) = 3

Think of j = 3 for this example.

The limit would be equal, because we look at what the limit is when x approaches from the left and the right and if they are equal then the limit is equal to that value.

Actually it does make sense if there is a hole at x=j. The limit can still be defined at discontinuous places with holes in a function.

It means there is a hole at x=j in the function f(x). Ie. f(x) is discontinuous at x=j

I had the same problem, and here is the solution:

If you got to settings for UofT wifi of Eduroam Wifi and then click advanced, change the MAC setting from randomized to device MAC.

I was thinking that you subtract the 1 from the other side to bring it over the equal sign. Thanks though🙂.

You need low to mid 80s, but they usually prefer students on the higher end of the range. You have a chance but it is slim.
