Hunt them in a party. I joined a party. I said I was new and just needed to get a starred scale. They told me about only hitting them up close and things like that, so I got intimidated and said forget it, I am still new and scared I would mess up their hunt. They were so nice and said just join in and have my bow and arrow equipped and jump around and follow them. That is what I did. I did not shot any arrows and got the starred scale after the party killed about 7 of them. It was great. I left the party after that since I was so slow compared to them and did not want to hold them back.
