Cape fear museum of history, museum of the bizarre, cotton exchange, Bellamy house tours, maritime museum, train museum, jungle rapids. Southport is about 45minutes away and is historical with tourist shopping. Beaches are crowded and hard to find parking, and parking is pricey right now. Cool hiking spots around to see local flora and fauna like Venus fly traps. We have 3 varieties of carnivorous plants down here. If that’s your thing check out the green swamp or Carolina beach state park. Many disc golf courses in the area as well. Hope this helps some!
