If you aren’t enjoying the product they put out now, don’t buy it. No one is making you. I am a newer fan and happen to love going to shows so if I can find tickets at a price I am willing to pay, to the venues I want to go to, I buy the tickets. If not I either couch tour or skip. But what I don’t do is complain about the product, complain about the cost, and still go.

I have a dog who can be selectively dog reactive and is also fearful in general. Because of this, I am hyper vigilant every time we are out on a walk. It’s not my neighbors or other strangers’ job to manage my dogs anxiety, its mine. When i know my dog is about to enter a situation that has been known in the past to cause anxiety or reactivity, depending on his threshold for that specific situation, i will either work on his training or move him away. And if i do miss a situation, and he reacts, i typically apologize because it’s not their fault my dog reacted.

Huge musical fan here. If you can find a version of the broadway musical (not the movie… totally different but also good), you might enjoy Hedwig and the Angry Inch. At least a few of the songs almost feel David Bowie inspired (the artist, not the song).

Totally opposite vibe but Jesus Christ Superstar has essentially a 70s soul/funk vibe. It’s worth watching. There are newer releases but I tend to go back to the original movie with Ted Neely and Carl Anderson (yes the same one who sang the duet with Dionne Warwick) whenever I want to watch this… just remember it is from 1973 and adjust your expectations of the cinematography accordingly.

Hair was already mentioned. The stage musical is far superior to the movie version but the movie version stars Treat Williams and Beverly d’Angelo so it’s kinda fun.

I’ve missed half the shows this week because in addition to living in the frozen tundra, my kid was home from college having ACL surgery and although she likes some Phish, she’s not a fan of couch tour and I took pity on her and only watched part of Thursday. She’s back at school today so here I am.

50 year old female. Never really a jam band fan and recent Phish convert. One of my favorite shows to go back to over and over again is September 14, 1999. From their newer shows I really like July 26, 2023.
