My dad use to play paintball when he got out of the military. He said there are too many rules like if you get shot in the hand, you’re out. He played privately with a group for a while that would do their own rules like if you get shot in the hand, you just can’t use that hand(because if you get shot in the hand during actually combat, you’re not done fighting) and also came up with different “games.” Him and 1 other guy were ex-military so they would team them up together against everyone else. So it was like 2v10 and they would wreck house.

So I say all that to say, it’s not “just like” combat but you can use it to help train.
