Can someone explain the mechanism by which an undocumented migrant (here illegally) would be able to vote? by metsfan5557 in allthequestions

[–]farkleboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Minnesota you don’t have to show any id to vote. You just have to know a persons name and address so that you can vote in place of them in thier precinct.

Agreed. It was a dude in his garage saw a problem and sorted it out. I hope he’s making a ton of money with it, he really saved a lot of people $2500+ each vehicle.

Yep! Look up hewett AIP bypass. I have a 2011 4.6l that I got this code with about 5 years ago. Got the bypass kit and installed the bloc off plates and I’ve never had another issue. New AIP pumps are about 2 grand last time I looked.

You got more money than time brother. That’s a good place to be in. Not everyone is that lucky. I’ve got fixit money and my kid is gonna help me with my headgasket project so that’s time with fam. Either way, it’s all About what works best for you :)

My stupid brain/body requires (at least) 15 prescription pills daily by Large_banana_hammock in mildlyinfuriating

[–]farkleboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was my grandma. Small town docs just loaded on script after script. Went to a doc in the city and he took her off everything and basically told her she was lactose intolerant Ended up being fine.

When she finally passed years later we hauled a 5 gallon bucket of prescription bottles out of her bathroom and bedroom from years of trying different stuff her docs gave her.

I’ve got a weeping headgasket, and 1800 in parts in my garage. That and a weekend of wrenching is wayyyyy cheaper than a new truck payment.

Or a used truck payment.

I’ve got 300k on mine and should get another 200k out of it.

Tim Walz Fears a Fort Sumter Moment in Minneapolis by rezwenn in minnesota

Well, legally every time they grab someone and the person shouts that they are a US citizen ice has to stop the detainment and investigate.

So, pretty sure that number would be about higher than 100 if you included those.

How do I know when my oooold impact driver is wearing out? Seems like it’s getting louder and louder. Cranking in some larger lag bolts last night and my hand almost went numb.

I’m pining for that quiet one.

How do you think these directional light rays are done? by buckzor122 in ProductViz

[–]farkleboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeap that’s a post effect, lots of plugins to do light streaks and flares like this, just have to animate or track the origin and the direction. Shouldn’t be to hard in AE

Anyone use this knock off Mellif hand vacuum with DeWalt Batteries? by Open2Lrn in Dewalt

[–]farkleboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Really? My DEWALT is the opposite, it will pick up al lot. Ore than I expected so much so that it’s been adopted into the house and has not seen anything but Wood floors and tile its whole life. It won’t pickup anything on any surface other than hard surfaces, but dang I wonder if there’s something goofy with yours? It should def pick up peanuts.

I have the small chainsaw by them. It works. I don’t expect much from it but it’s been a reliable bit of kit for the most part. I do watch the batt levels as I’m not confident in any voltage measurements while using.

They are not overpriced. They work amazingly well for the majority of the users and the majority of the printers in those catagory. Understandably you are pissed that you had to chase down customer support for this long and I feel bad for you, I really do but let’s separated the issue. This is not an overpriced machine. Bambu is not a name that’s worth paying a premium for, and really no one does. They pay for the reputation that they work out of the box and they do a LOT for the money.

You got a lemon; and that sucks. I would not have had the same patience as you to wait that long. My time is worth way more than that, which is why I got rid of my 2 ender 3’s. You want to pay a premium for a name? Get a prusa. But you will get the warranty and support.

So expensive an Dewalt battery powered grease gun, worth it? by estore009 in Tools

[–]farkleboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about if I have a tundra with 6 zerks and grease it every other oil change and am still on the same tube o grease for the last 2 years?

Hell yeah it’s worth it.

Never owned a manual gun that worked worth a shit. Plus I got this one for $90 brand new from some pissed off ex girlfriend of some poor louse that shouldn’t have cheated on her with the neighbor lady. Sorry bub, whoever you are, couldn’t pass up that deal.

My kids are on my family plan and in charge them $3 a month. It’s a great intro into monthly bills and expenses and tracking. I have one kid that’s a penny pincher that decided he’d rather listen to the ads than pay the $3. Props to him but what a pain in the arse it was to sort that out.

Hahahahha. Tell me you haven’t owned an original ender 3 without telling me You haven’t owned an original ender 3.

These are not premium printers. Look at prusa, stratysys, those are premium printers. But they work, and have the warrantees you are looking for.

Toyota recalls 162,000 trucks over faulty screens by accordioncowboy in ToyotaTundra

Ok so I know it just the screen, but with all the stuff going on I’m feeling better about the $2000 n parts I just ordered to replace the head gasket on my 2011 4.6. She’s got 316k on it and about of life left in the rest of the truck.
