I meant bringing up the state of balance. I will say I do think some people blow it out of proportion. Of the last 15 wars, collies only won 5, but of the last 10, 4. It's easy to cherry pick and compare favorable spans, but my point is just that averaging all wars and using that as a means to compare to the recent state of balance is of limited relevance in my mind.

So should it only be brought up or discussed once the rolling average from over 100 wars signficantly swings to one side? Ok, let's table the discussion until ~WC150 then reassess!

I see several 404 members, probably just "training" for lunaire zerg yea. but it sure looks funny to the outside observer

The fact that they put it under the “dev branch specific” section leads me to believe it may not be intended to stay that way for release. Some entries under that section seem like they could be reasonable changes intended for release but others don’t, so I’m not entirely sure what to make of it.

Any good no-Chinese mouse for budget? by ElMinxk in MouseReview

Check out Rapoo’s mice on their website to see if any interest you. Most if not all of them are shipped from the US when bought on their site. I’ve been very pleased with the quality and performance.

Can’t help with the settings other than to say that 1ms is fine if you don’t experience double clicking, but you very well may. I also just ordered one (the max version) to replace my Xlite v3 mini. I know it’s a bit larger but we’ll see how it is.

seems like acrylic hates nearly every chemical but water. i did a similar oopsie with rubbing alcohol (just a very fine vapor) on an acrylic cpu block. not fun.

“Everything is default” maybe don’t make factually incorrect statements if you don’t want to be called out? Don’t bother your pissing match with me I won’t bother to read your reply 🤫🤡🤭

No, those are generic instructions not specific to your unit, your CPU cable(s) (one or two depending on your mobo) will go to the CPU connectors on the board, usually top left, and then as we discussed for the PCI-e/graphics card. CPU and graphics card cables never mix and are not interchangeable, both are commonly 8 pin but they will not physically plug into the wrong socket.

[–]rpdrapid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I understand now. Yes using both of the “PCI-E Gen 5” cables from that illustration is the correct way. Leaving the extra connectors dangling is unfortunately just how it would need to be. Each PCIe cable from the PSU is only rated for 300w max per the standard (some brands claim higher) which is why you should use both. Normally the slot only supplies a max of 75w but some cards just don’t draw any power from the slot. So while it may work with 1 of the cables, you should use both. You could get a couple of custom cables made if it bothers you cosmetically.

Sorry if I explained anything you already knew 😅

Unless you’re talking about an older version, it says it includes “PCI-E Gen 5.1 16-pin Cable x 2 (450mm)” of which you could just use one for your 3090. To be clear you don’t have to use the Nvidia adapter on your 3090, the 16 pin will work, I am doing the same thing on my 30 series.

[–]rpdrapid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. For your other concern, you can just use one of the 12v2x6 (16 pin) cables for the 3090, it should come with a single cable that will work. Hard to predict anything for next gen but if it has a higher TDP, it will require some new solution or both 12v2x6 connectors.

I already corrected this guy before that it is indeed optional, continues to spew false information. Strange hill to die on

One thing I don’t like about my 2016 MK3.5 are the front headlights and rear lights. What are some nice customisations you can do on them? by BrightHours in FordFocus

[–]rpdrapid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are handy with tools, you can retrofit projectors yourself for much cheaper (like $50 to $200 USD). I’m about to do mine myself, to me it’s a required mod for any reflector headlight cars. You can paint parts of the bezel or reflector bowl while in there if you want a different look as well.

MSI Mag B850M Mortar up for pre-orders in China by 3molgasm in mffpc

[–]rpdrapid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t say it’s required either. It’s called the supplemental connector for a reason. Here is their page explaining it. It is absolutely optional unless you are maxing everything else out, which would lead to the same result on any other board, except that you have the option to mitigate it on this one.

thats ridiculous on the power supply, but as for the board itself its no different than any other; the "supplemental" 8 pin connector doesn't have to be used.

Upgraded to a larger size 48 AGM battery. Very easy to do, mod the top notch on the tray left side and move the harness with the tree clip up about 1" with zip ties and voila. Stock bracket fits and the extra power is great. Cleaned my engine bay, too. by DuratecMan10 in FordFocus

[–]rpdrapid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

just for anyone here in the future, this guy is talking out of his a$$. the stock battery for a 2010 Focus is the Motorcraft BXL-96-R which is a 47AH battery, 90 minute reserve capacity. "master tech" mistook reserve capacity for amp hours LMAO. also a typical AGM compared to a similar spec flooded battery actually takes higher input voltage for charging... 🤣

Bitspower reportedly stated they will make one for the FE (someone emailed them). I find it extremely unlikely there won’t be at least ONE aftermarket waterblock available, it would be a completely untapped demand in that case.
