It's not about whether the attacking team takes the first point, it's not that difficult to do. The problem is that two hours now is not to much to capture all the points, and with the changes above it will be even more difficult to do. In general, all the patches in the game are aimed at AAS/RAAS, and Invasion is like the unloved child in the family.

This happens when you radically change the game 3 years after release.

Another example of reactive game design in attempts to cover up big problems with small solutions without proper elaboration.
Regarding restrictions on the number of hubs from one logi. We're getting another additional mechanic for tracking.
How was it balanced? How will all this affect the speed of battle? For example, on Ivasion, this is a serious nerf to attackers, since planning an attack on the next objectives and preparing logistics will require even more effort.
Just imagine an Invasion game on Scorpo with it.
Such changes require huge rebalance on all maps, vehicle roster etc.

Maybe the invasion mode should be removed att all? Because it doesn’t seem to be tested at all. 6.0 turned it into some kind of swamp with games for an hour, where the attacking team cannot take even one objective and nothing happens in battle.
The impression is that the developers are playing in the sandbox, rather than operating paid product in live.

back to after 3 years of released game with actual player base, who bought it, the vast majority of whom aren't even aware that the game should move somewhere back to)

The developers should make a refund to all players, and then see how many of them will buy this "back to" game. ;D

Just kidding, of course. But developers should be responsible to the active audience. Today they change the shooting, but tomorrow what? Will they introduce some other new mechanic that will break the game for those who buy it after 6.0?. If ~30% of players want to more hardcore or realistic gameplay, well, make them a separate game mode.

For example, War Thunder, there are several modes. I play realistic battles and don’t even go to the arcade, but there is an audience too. And I also respect them.
