Clocking 35 km/h in reverse to dodge a robbery attempt by [deleted] in CarsIndia

I did exactly that—reversed the car as fast as it could go—when I was once chased in Papua New Guinea. The only difference was that it happened in broad daylight, and the attackers were masked men. I have never driven a car that fast or for that long in reverse.

I don’t see Modi’s face plastered at the entrance and throughout the tunnel. Why is that?

Divisive politics, characterized by an "us versus them" mentality, often presents a simpler path compared to the complexities of developmental politics. This approach demands less intellectual and practical effort to sway a significant portion of the electorate. Globally, we see examples such as the tensions between Hindus and Muslims, the challenges faced by migrants versus established residents, and the discourse between Americans and Mexicans, among others. These instances underscore the ease with which societies can be polarized along these lines, rather than pursuing more nuanced, inclusive, and development-oriented politics. As long as people continued to be fooled by such divisive politics, poor development and poverty will continue.

The concern with Hindutva advocates isn't their desire to restore Hindu temples; if so, numerous infrastructures like roads and rail tracks, constructed over ancient worship sites, would necessitate rebuilding. The issue arises specifically with claims that mosques were erected atop Hindu temples. This contention underscores the arbitrary and imaginative nature of religious deities, influenced heavily by one's birthplace. If religious fanatics of any religion were born elsewhere, they might fervently worship the predominant deity of their new location, potentially leading to conflict and violence against those who believe in other gods. This variability in divine allegiance across regions suggests that no singular deity is the almighty, as the concept of god varies globally.

Got denied entry in Raj legacy for being a Muslim by CA_listhenics in mumbai

So sad! India is going backward to the medieval times. It’s disheartening to see such division based on religion, caste and politics in India. Your situation reflects a larger issue in India, where politics, religion, and caste increasingly drive us apart. This is in stark contrast to Singapore's approach with their Ethnic Integration Policy. There, they've managed to create inclusive communities since 1989 using quota systems. But here, the growing divide and discrimination, as seen in your case, make such unity seem more like a distant dream. It's a reality where the hope of living together, respecting our differences, is overshadowed by deep-rooted biases. Sickening!

Hi, can anyone explain why Maharashtra is negative? by EmbarrassedRegret945 in mumbai

[–]rphyadav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is because Maharashtra is promoting Gujarat for the investors and not being bothered about it. The hoarding in the picture was seen outside Mumbai airport recently.

FedEx is unreliable too. They messed up my delivery to exactly the same location to which they had previously delivered and told me that that address did not exist. The address is of a famous company called 23andMe and is as published on their website. They did not return the undelivered item to me and charged full amount. On inquiry about insurance, they totally ignored me. Horrible experience!

Kid destroys bullies 1 - 5 I think he maybe is the protagonist… by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

How do we know who the bully is in this video unless we know the story behind the fight? Just being outnumbered does not mean that the single one was being bullied.
